I have had a few steams here, a massage and a pedicure. The pedicure was mediocre and the massage was almost painful despite asking the massuse to adjust her pressure. I have enjoyed the steam rooms, but some of the tiling and benches are looking run down and in need of some TLC and updating. I also have a hard time getting an appointment, so have ended up booking in at Red Deer Steam and Spa instead and had positive experiences there!

Had an excellent Dermaplane Pro Facial with Leslie. She was professional, thorough and her hands are magic.

The gal at the front desk was very busy but she was very polite, got me taken care of in a timely fashion and didn't make me feel rushed.

The spa itself is beautiful, in my opinion. The holiday decorations were up, and it felt festive & cozy. I've been here many times over the years and have always had a great experience [massage, pedicures, steams, facials, etc].

What an incredible experience. I’ve had $300 massages at the Banff springs and they weren’t as good as the relaxation massage I got from Maria. Perfect mix of relaxation and therapy, I won’t go see anyone else in Red Deer now. Incredible massage therapist!

My sister and I got pedicures in the evening and the ladies were so awesome! They made the experience really great! At first I thought it was pretty expensive as the prices have gone up since the last time I went... But it was worth every cent! Thanks totally refreshed steam and spa! We will be back!

I was treated to a spa day by a dear friend as I'm dealing with the unexpected recent passing of my mother. This was anything but a relaxing spa day. I had a spa pedicure and a spa manicure but the technician doing both services was more interested in chatting with the next technician's client. The conversation was loud and accompanied by the bass of the music Visions was playing next door. I felt anything but pampered, I felt more like I was in the way and would have liked to excuse myself from the conversation going on without me. At the very least the two technicians could have traded clients. This experience added to my stress versus relieving it. Also the massages with each service were less than 10 seconds and SO not worth the added expense. I was asked what sent I wanted with my soak and lotion and chose the ginger/orange and instead received coconut. I have had far better service and more relaxed experiences for far less cost at both Kim Lu nails or Lotus in Red Deer. I will not return by choice.

I like this place. Good massages. I am writing this review specifically bassed on billing. They do not directly bill and every time it is a hassle to get a receipt including therapist Registration number to make a claim. The front desk must be underpaid. They have no real knowledge and when i ask for the therapist registration number have no clue.

Not the most serene spa i have been too. The place is large and was very busy with clients when I got there. I booked a relaxing massage and a facial. When I booked I was inundated with liability forms (I recieved 7 all at once). I only filled out 2 of them because I felt it was redundant.

When I got there the estheticians clearly didn't read any intake forms I filled out as they asked me all the same questions.

The massage and facial were nice but there were no options for hypoallergenic products which is something I would have opted for as I have sensitive skin. When I asked for hypoallergenic products to be used, both the estheticians looked at me perplexed and had no idea if the products used were hypoallergenic or not. Regardless I went ahead with my appointments anyway and that's on me as I really needed this.

I didn't like the smell of a couple of the products used on my face. I felt they smelled chemically and cheap. I had to wash off the last product when I got home as I really didn't like the smell.

If I could offer some advice to the spa...

I think you are a big business and so you need to work harder on maintaining a serene and calm environment. Peolle go to spas to get away from hustle and bustle. That was not the atmosphere outside of the appointment rooms. Alot of the workers were busy and running around behind the scenes trying to keep up with how many clients there were. It looked stressful.
Furthermore It was my first time in the spa, I had to ask the front desk lady to show me where to go as she just checked me in and that was it. I also wasn't offered water or anything. So I feel like this was a customer service fail on the part of the reception.

I had no issues with the appointments.

3 stars basically for environment, lack of reception customer service, and products used.... no options for unscented or hypoallergenic products except for coconut oil in the massage.

My daughter and I got the deep sea mineral wrap and facials. It was a pleasant experience, and the interior is pretty and smells nice. The heated chair with adjustable recline/knee lift was very comfortable compared to most esthetic chairs.
