Lion Head Pub is fantastic! The burger, beef dip, and wings were all excellent—highly recommend trying them. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, and the bartender is incredible, crafting any cocktail you can imagine. It was a full house and the service was fast and friendly. Great food, great drinks, and a great place to spend an evening with or without the kids!

First impressions were underwhelming. The seating felt cramped, with tables so close together that it was difficult to move around comfortably. We visited around 3:30 PM during happy hour, and while the pricing was reasonable, they were out of three draft beers, and the white wine served didn’t match what was listed on the menu.

The atmosphere has potential with plenty of TVs for sports fans, but there was no social media presence or table information to share upcoming events or specials. The food was disappointing for a pub—frozen fries with the fish and chips, no malt vinegar, and an overpriced beef dip that didn’t deliver.

On the positive side, the staff were friendly, and I wish them well. Unfortunately, it’s not a place I’d return to.

Everyone wants a pub and now everyone has their own idea of what a pub is. I think it’s great to have somewhere where you can have a drink and a meal and still walk home.

extremely happy to hear that the pub was busy for its opening week and it’s a breath of fresh air to know that the owners are asking for input to make the pub better.

Also knowing that MANAGEMENT and ownership do not get tipped out is a big plus so be generous with your tipping and be patient as they grow and learn and become a main stay of our community.

My husband and I went to check out the new Lion Head Pub and had a great experience. We ordered the garlic pork ribs to start, as well as the Chicken Burger and Beef Dip for mains- the portions, flavour and presentation of the food was fantastic. Atmosphere and music was welcoming and enjoyable. The staff and owners were all working hard to ensure everyone was looked after and satisfied, despite the busy opening. Very refreshing to have owners who actually want to make this Pub work for Sunset. Will definitely be back!

Had a good time! I enjoyed the burger! Ashlee served us, sorry that the Chiefs didn't win the super bowl. She was still very friendly and helpful. We would recommend, they have a long happy hour 😀

The burger was amazing. Burger had good char grilled taste with fresh toppings and a super fresh brioche bun. Service is exceptional, with all hosts taking care of your needs. Good selection of beer available on draft. The only issue i saw was that it was too busy to accommodate everyone and some people left due to a lack of seating. Not a problem most restaurants would be upset over. Overall a cozy atmosphere, great food and excellent service.

Yep, I think they've nailed it so far! 👌🏼 We were eager to try the new pub and we left feeling SO happy with the place! Feels like the pub we've been waiting for in this space.

Great atmosphere in there! Feels comfortable & welcoming, and the staff were cheery, smiling, attentive. Can't ask for more!

Food quality was absolutely great and I look forward to trying some more items. Good food & drink portions (20oz pints) with good variety: a dozen or so meals, almost as many appetizers. Prices seemed about right, nice long happy hour (2-7pm), but I wonder what applies and if they'll have daily specials as they solidify the menu.

Overall, an easy and well-deserved 5 stars. 🙌🏼 Will definitely be back, and welcome to the neighbourhood!

I visited the Lion Head on opening weekend and I was very impressed! I’m so glad to have a pub in sunset again, and I will definitely be coming back.
Menue: I liked that there was not pages and pages of options. With smaller menus you can focus on quality food! You must try the burger! It’s SO good!!
Beers on Tap: I was very impressed to see a wide variety of options. Anyone could find a favorite at the Lion Head.
The service: the service was fantastic. I can’t say enough about the how happy the serving staff were. They were very engaging, happy to hear people’s experiences and even went shared their own experience about how excited they were to be working for the new owners. The comments they made about the owners is what sold me on this place. I’ll come back time and time again because it’s important to support local and to support good people.
Keep up the amazing work Lion Head staff!!
