Friendly, excellent customer service from Michelle on a very busy night. There were only two servers and a bartender on a Saturday night, and the place was packed. The Duke burger and "dusted fries" were delicious. I liked the crispy onions. The hot pot was excellent. The beef dip was tasty, too, but I won't recommend the fish taco wrap. It was lacking flavour and the side of bacon and potato soup was cold. There are lots of other menu choices to make. We will be back. The atmosphere of the ale house is excellent.

I’ve been to Kingsmen Ale House a few times in the past, but unfortunately, it’s gone downhill fast. The food quality has seriously declined—what used to be hearty and flavorful now feels bland and hastily prepared. It’s clear there’s a lack of care in the kitchen, and the overall experience suffers because of it.

To make matters worse, they always seem to have just one server working the floor. The poor server is constantly flustered, trying to juggle everything at once, and it creates a chaotic and uncomfortable atmosphere. You can’t help but feel bad for them, but it doesn’t make for a good dining experience.

When you first walk in, the place looks like an authentic UK pub, and you get your hopes up—but that charm fades quickly the longer you stay. The potential is there, but the lack of staff, care, and attention to detail makes this a place I can’t recommend anymore.

I really hope they turn things around because it used to be great, but for now, I’ll be going elsewhere.

Plus they have the most expensive but worst Guinness in town.

There were only 2 servers that we could see at our visit, but service was not slow and both servers were pleasant. The colcannon and champ croquettes were outstanding as was the simple rum pound cake. The sausage rolls were good as were the other desserts we sampled. The sticky toffee pudding was certainly not traditional but still well enjoyed as was the croissant berry trifle. The scotch egg was a sore disappointment, as while it had a golden crisp exterior, the meat was very dry and tough and the egg hard boiled. Some really nice elements and some disappointments!

We had no issues parking on a weeknight.

There are a lot of must try dishes and before dinner drinks are numerous and varied. The beer is really special. The service is super and friendly. Seating for 5 usually involves a very comfortable booth but for 6 or more guests, there is some table moving necessary. Reservations are not necessary but if you want a particular area, they will hold your spot. We had a very good time and two of our 1st time guests were impressed. We are wings and beer people but the wing choice is not available on this menu but they are spectacular.

First off in the past I had a bad experience with them and I decided to give them a second chance and I was very happy that I did. The food was amazing and affordable. The staff was friendly and helpful did not have to wait longer for food and drinks. I had bought a Kingsmen mug from them is the pass and it was my favorite mug and I recently broke and very upset. I found out that they would not sell me one because they had problems with people stealing them and they only had a couple left. I offered to pay double for one and the waitress had sent the manager over to my table to negotiate for a mug. She ended up giving me it for free for Christmas. I was very pleased and happy. I will continue to come back to this place of business

Service was great.
Food was amazing.
The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere.
The choice of beer on tap is exceptional.
All around a great experience.

The fish and chips were a very good choice. We had one piece and a two piece. The order came out very fast. The fish was very tasty and hot. I devoured mine so fast and was a bit stuffed to enjoy the dusted fries. Which is Parmesan and black pepper. Coleslaw was very good. The service from Fatima was very good and friendly. Suggested good choices from the menu. Menu also looked interesting. Lots of dishes to bring us back. But the fish and chips will be my Choice. Thanks Fatima for making our first visit so enjoyable. Also the root bear paralyzer was pretty good.
