Our Valentine's dinner at the onion was fabulous. I ordered the seafood lasagna and was very impressed on how tasty it was. The first couple of bites were 5 star restaurant quality. I don't normally order pasta when out for dinner. I asked the waitress if she tasted it and how the seafood lasagna was. She said she really enjoyed it so I decided to order it and believe me it was pretty amazing. I would highly recommend this dish.

My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak and found the au jus needed to be added to it. It was tasty just needed the extra juice as without it, it was dry.

This is a hidden little gem. The food is amazing and the prices are perfect. It's definitely the best steak sandwich in the city. Has a little dive bar kind of feeling, but if you can open your mind and get past the ambiance, it's a real surprise. The staff need to pay attention to the customers and stay off their phones a little more but really it's a great place to eat!

We came down to Lethbridge to pick up a Marketplace find, the person we were buying an item from suggest the Onion when we asked for a good place for lunch.
We were not disappointed!
The service, fantastic, the food phenomenal, the lounge was clean and welcoming.
We will definitely drive down from High River for lunch again sometime!

This had been our Friday night, almost weekly, go to!! But not anymore!! Ordered nachos for 2 and honestly not sure how they would even think that a small dollup of sour cream and salsa(in one tiny dish) would be enough for the portion of chips!! We asked for a 2nd and the guy manager(with zero personality) came out and said it will cost us $1.25. It's not the principle of the money...it's the fact that you don't get enough to start with! He then sent out a combative female
(possibly a manager) who proceeded to talk down to us and decided to not to hear the customer but only to have an attitude and hear what she wanted to hear. Very poor customer service....for 2 years, missing the odd Friday, we have frequented the establishment and the waitresses are great. We have brought 8 other people on different occasions when in town , to share the atmosphere at The Onion. My idea of customer service is when you have consistent patrons to your establishment, it's OK to comp a 2nd dollup of dip!! It's not a regular item we order but my advice would be to upsize your rations!! Will be hard for us to return after lack of personality of management...if that's who they even are!! The rating is based on all of our previous interactions with the lovely girls that work there..the ratings for management would be a solid zero!! Would love for the owner to reach out so we can share the experience with him!

We had our company Christmas party supper here and it was delicious! They served a tasty turkey dinner. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommend this place!

Best deep fried mushrooms I've had in a long time. I Had them a few months ago and couldn't stop thinking about them. Then I had the opportunity to visit again on Friday ordered a batch and just as amazing as the 1st time!! Wonderfu and great service as well.
10/10 recommend this gem of a restaurant and place to hangout on the Northside!

After my absence, I would never forget the time I had an marvelous experience here. The good food, prices and atmosphere always makes me feel more satisfied and enjoyable. It's a shame that I'm not in Lethbridge anymore. I'm wondering what it's like now. I'm sure it wasn't that easy when I moved back to Calgary. I felt a bit regret leaving the Onion. Even though I have an special interest in mechanics. On the other hand, the staff and management are very compassionate and polite. I had no idea how impressed I was when I first came here. I never met such a great fellowship in my life. I highly recommend this place to anyone that like good deals in Lethbridge. I've also never been into an atmosphere with excellent choices to choose from. I miss this place very much and all the fun times I had for the past year. Hopefully to return soon🤞.
