I’m really not sure how this place has the ratings it does. Maybe we got the worst available room? It was filthy, bed was awful/old, room stinks, the kitchenette which we booked for had hardly any cutlery or cups, no blackout curtains so it stays daylight in there all night, AC unit blew awful smelling air, wifi unusable… but worst of all? 745 AM while we’re sleeping, cleaning crew knocks on the door then BARGES IN. EXCUSE ME WHAT?! Pay the little extra and stay next door.

My lady and I were forced to stop in Grande Cache on Saturday May 6th 2023 after being rerouted because of wildfires we chose the Grande Mountain Lodge because the price was right and so happy we choose here the place May not look like the best but the rooms were clean the towels were new and fresh and the bed and pillows provided us with a much needed good sleep after driving all day.
Thanks for the good sleep and service!
100% would recommend if ever in Grande Cache.

Very very good for a lower-cost motel! The staff were very nice and accomodating, and the rooms were clean, a good size, and had all the amenities you would hope for (plenty of towels, fresh soap, etc). There was also a kitchen in the rooms too with everything you would need to make your own dinner..

Sometimes it does not show up on booking websites, so consider giving them a call directly, but I was very happy with the process. After a lot of hiking, I got a nice place to stay on short notice with great conditions, at a good amount less than the other places in town.

Have stayed here 3 times, and was happy each time!

Good customer service , ladies at front desk helped with anything needed , good atmosphere 👍 , rooms are very clean , and daily service was bang on , was comfortable and enjoyed my stay 😀 👍

It was a room to sleep in. They were ok, not to fancy! But what can you expect for the price! Had a little kitchenette if needed. The bathroom was clean and it even had good 👍🏼 shampoo and conditioner!

I would not call this a 3 star hotel. More like 2 stars. Some issues - albeit minor - with my stay. My keys didn't work upon check in, an issue with the bathroom sink and toilet, and the room really doesnt support 2 queen beds. One is far too close to the air conditioning, the other is so close to the bathroom entrance, you have to "squeeze" by to gain access. Internet is not great. Also, would it kill this motel to actually have a lit sign at night so that people can find it just a little easier? 🙂

Oh, and if you don't put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door, count on housekeeping knocking on your door at 7:30 am. That is NOT a typo.

Look, the staff were certainly friendly enough, and if you just need a place to crash, and you need to save some money, go ahead and book a room. It is a basic, cheap, outdated motel that will serve your pupose if just needing a bed and shower.

Look elsewhere if you are seeking an upgraded experience.

Just returned from a 4 day stay at Grande Mountain Lodge. Although it doesn't look like much from the outside the rooms are actually well equipped & clean. I was most impressed by the fact the rooms are not carpeted but had hardwood floors. Our room had a small kitchenette & a maid came everyday to make the bed & replace bathroom towels. The view from our room was also spectacular! I would stay here again.

SORRY HOUSE KEEPING DID THIS LOW REVIEW

It Was a nice stay ......BUT THE HOUSE KEEPING needs to do more then empty garbage, I was there 4 nights and not once did they change the sheets... and not once did they come knock on the door while was there, they waited till I left. I went to fast gas and turned around and saw them go in then this was after lunch..? (The women were all standing in the laundry room bottom floor under the stairs)
I know they went in because I had to leave in a hurry and I left my chair in the middle of the room came back 1/2 hr later and it was moved and still nothing was done?..(there was no Do Not Disderb me sign in room...)...
