The food was pretty good, but not fantastic. I had the spicy beef noodle, as it’s called on the menu, which I believe is meant to be bun bo hue. But the broth lacked the level of spice and depth of flavour that’s in a traditional bun bo hue. I think the food here is slightly adjusted to western tastes.

That being said, the portions are massive and you will definitely leave satisfied. Also, no complaints about the service and the decor is quite nice.

Mama La in Lethbridge is a great spot for Vietnamese food with a bit of a twist. I recently tried a few dishes and was really impressed. The pho broth was rich and flavorful, and the other dishes had a nice balance of flavors and textures. It's not your typical Vietnamese takeout; they clearly put effort into presentation and unique flavor combinations. If you're looking for a Vietnamese restaurant that goes beyond the basics, Mama La is definitely worth checking out.

The food was nothing short of amazing. It smelled and looked too good for me to remember to take a picture before devouring it. Portion sizes are huge, when they say shareable they mean it. I tried the pink lotus drink and it's 10/10 tastes like a healthy strawberry milkshake. I look forward to eating my way through the menu!

The servers are super friendly and were attentive which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was lovely, the modern decor is gorgeous and the restaurant was nice and clean.

The food disappointed me however. I love pho and it’s my comfort food. Recently moving to Lethbridge, I’ve been on the hunt for a good, comforting bowl of pho with a rich broth full of umami. The portions are huge which is always great, but the flavour was not there for me and it tasted rather bland. The Vietnamese iced coffee wasn’t great either as I felt it was too watery, in every other restaurant I’ve been the ca phe sua da has a sweet taste from the condensed milk to balance the rich coffee.

The reviews for the rest of the food seem to be really great, so I will definitely be back to try other items from the menu but will not be ordering pho or coffee from here again.

LOVE this restaurant! Definitely my favourite Vietnamese restaurant! The portions are huge and very worth the money. Everything is delicious and gives home cooked meal. My boyfriend and I go here often for lunch or dinner. Highly recommend the Black Pepper Beef w Rice and Beef Pho. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean.

We had the spring rolls, Beef stew with rice, Beef pho and pork salad rolls.
Everything was delicious.
Staff was friendly.
Would definitely recommend.
If I had to get one thing to eat and drink it would be the Beef stew on rice and a strawberry lychee drink with 🥥 jellies.

We had a great experience. From the service to the serving sizes, everything was highly appreciated. The vegan selection is AMAZINg! Everything has so many flavours and very tasty. I wished we lived closer, I would be there all the time. Definitely the highlight of my trip to Lethbridge.
