I had breakfast there not too long ago & it was good but Friday, Oct.11, 2024, I went for all you can eat fish! It was terrible. The fish was overdone! Couldn't cut it & picked it up & ate it with my fingers! The fish was so tough!The fries were so overdone also, I couldn't stick a fork in them! Ate them with my fingers! Anyway, I should have turned my fish & chips in but I was hungry! Worst fish & chips I have ever had! Won't be back!

Never taking my family here again. We ordered the same thing and mine was disgusting, sloppy... it looked like someone dropped it then scooped it back up. When I asked them to remake mine to the same quality as the rest, the chef came out and threatened me, standing at the door, gesturing angrily. I told the waitress, and asked for the manager... she giggled shyly and told me there was no manager. We finally had to leave as the cook was acting agitated and aggressive.
Smittys YOU ARE LUCKY I was with my Family. Your head office will be contacted and you will be reported on!!!!

Update; we just ordered there after years.... here's how to looked!! The 'melted paper' taste isn't actually terrible.

Nothing beats the great taste of Smitty's food ! Service was awesome, staff were smiling and friendly. Food of course was as great as usual. Highly suggest eating here if you are driving thru or staying in High River !

Funny if you pay cash the price of the breakfast goes up, 1st day $13.99 and paid cash second day $25.50 for the same breakfast only had eggs poached not over easy, same size coffee. I think someone is not honest but will never go again and will tell many in HR.

Three adults, one child. Pancakes off of the children’s menu were the only thing somewhat resembling food. Fish and chips were dry and hard. Chicken quesadilla was grey and cold, fries were so hard a fork would not stick into them. Beef dip was more fat than beef, fries equally hard and cold.
Worst meal ever, service not much better. Avoid this place at all costs.

My breakfast choice tasted great. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Sunday morning. Friendly staff. They kept the fresh, hot coffee topped up.

Horrible meal. Fries overcooked. Silly shoestring ones that are bought. What happened to regular fries fresh cut. Beef dip was disgusting. Horrible meat. Was tough as shoes leather. Over horse radished on one half none one other. Something rancid in 2nd half spit it into my napkin. Spouse had asked for not toasted clubhouse was toasted and fries in poutine also hard and overcooked even smothered in gravy. Staff spent more time laughing and visiting in kitchen instead of paying attention to the food and customers. Very disappointed we used to come here alot and it's gotten progressively worse and the manager does nothing judging by reviews. We won't be back either. Don't waste your money or time going to High River Smitty's. I ended up with upset stomach. Yuck.
