Great little place! Needed a spot to stay for the night and this was perfect! Guy at front desk was so sweet and nice. We arrived late because of an accident on the road and he waited for us , then even let us checkout later the next day. Rooms were very clean,little outdated but that’s motels . Had a great cozy feeling, would definitely stay here again

I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a basic motel but the rooms are clean and the service was good.

I have a "no room at the inn" story. There were no rooms available in Hinton at all because of the Jasper fires and Pines Motel didn't have any vacancy either, but these guys set me up in a room that was closed for maintenance because the air conditioner was down. The room was great and I even got a good discount on it. They really bailed me out!

It's an older motel which is clear in unit design both inside and out, but inspite of that the motel is being kept up quite well, with everything in the units being kept in good working order.
The front desk people are super friendly and quiet accommodating.

From the photos I knew the place was older and perhaps dated, most reviews stated the place was clean and fairly good which was good enough for us for a single night...|Front desk staff was friendly,gave us the key easy directions to our room and parking. ||First things first the stairs going up to the second level look questionable to say the least with odd patch jobs and places coated in silicone, moving on we discovered the screen door was a bit stuck but nothing major. |The room is larger than I expected for a double bedroom! Bed was clean, including under it (minus the dust there..) After turning on the lights I discovered the wall didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while, smeared food? Finger prints all over it. Inside of the main door was the same. (Not sure why these hight touch areas aren't being cleaned after each stay). There is a desk with wall light,small sofa, nightstand and console stand for the tv and small mini fridge. |The carpet was Gross 🤢 feeling under bare feet, told my kid to keep their shoes on which doesn't help the problem but what else can I do. |The bathroom though 🦠🦠🦠 grem freaking city! ! The shower walls were still obviously DIRTY covered in sprayed soap and whatever else. Toilet was wide open like a guy had just been in there instead of closed. Heat register across from the toilet was super dusty and had various spills on it as well. They do give to 2 bars of hand soap and a 'conditoning shampoo' but no bodywash, conditioner, lotion or even a cheap shower cap since none of the proper hair care products are available. The sink stopper was also stuck in an almost closed position. ||I in no way think a night here should be $170+ more like $89 and major changes STILL need to be made. Like a real maid cleaning the rooms..||The wipe was used to clean the light switches and a single slide along that heat register...

The owners are so friendly and accommodating. Treated like family since first stay in Hinton. Bring fresh towels to our room, plates and bowls and silverware. Only asked for silverware. Brings anything I need, in fast timing.

Staying at the Pines was a most wonderful experience. The establishment is operated by two young fellows and are beyond hospitable. Very friendly, mature and willing to go the extra mile to accommodate. It is an older motel with a 5 star cleanliness attached to it. It is beyond words how well it is maintained. They go the extra mile without doubt. I highly recommend a stay here and it is a peaceful spot as well.
