Dick's Fish and Chips is hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside—absolutely delicious. But what really blew me away was the dressing and gravy. Until now, I'd never heard of pairing gravy and dressing with fish and chips, but it was incredible! A unique Newfoundland experience that you can't miss. And to top it off, the ice-cold beer was the perfect complement to the meal. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Highly recommend!

Dick’s has the best fish & chips with dressing and gravy out there. The batter was great, the fish melted in my mouth and not greasy in the slightest. The dressing was incredible, I could’ve had a bowl of that alone, and gravy was the best gravy I’ve had! Fries crispy and tasty. Service was fast, such nice staff, not busy on a weekday night, I loved the décor and the music. I got two pieces but I wish I got a third, I didn’t want to stop eating!

Excellent, and I mean excellent Fish, Chips, Dressing and Gravy!!! Definitely in my top 5 Fish and Chip feeds! Everything about it was on point from the batter, taste of the fish, the chips (fries) gravy was good and the dressing was flavorful.

During a road trip in Newfoundland in August, I stopped here with my son after visiting the mine museum, which is a must-see on Bell Island.

My son and I each ordered fish and chips, along with coleslaw and a pop. While the coleslaw was too sweet for my taste, it didn't really matter, as the fish and chips were very good.

Would happily come back here for dinner the next time I am in Bell Island.

We tried many different fish and chips places on our trip across Newfoundland and this place was the best. The fish is so fresh and the gravy is so flavourful. Also this location has been open for so long it really should have historical significance too. Just watch out for seagulls if you decide to watch whales outside while eating

We ordered fish and chips to go and enjoyed it by the shoreline. The fish tasted really fresh. People here don't eat fish and chips with tartar sauce, but with dressing and gravy. So don't expect homemade tartar sauce here. We ordered the gravy and dressing on the side, very flavorful and you can tell it is not just msg or store bought sauce. Onion rings also amazing, great batter! Fries was a bit on the soggy side but tasted very fresh! Love our meal there!
