Once upon a time Primetime was one of the best Donair you could get in the Edmonton area. They are now a shell of their former selves. Prices have gone up an portions have gone way down. A "large" Donair is smaller than a regular used to be. As I watched them weigh every piece of meat for a "large" Donair I realized that I will never come here again. Save yourself the disappointment and go to City Donair or Sky Hy. Primetime is all about the profits and not the customers now. I feel ripped off.

Edit: Against my better judgement I tried to go here again. $16 for what I can only call a gass statin Donair. DO NOT GO Here. Photos are of a $16 regular Donair. Send this franchise packing back to Edmonton.

Again I loved this place in mill woods , my go to portions were good food was good , I tryed a few weeks back and had tiny portions for what u payed for .....so I decided to give it another shot cause I have been coming to this chain for over five years regularly. AND SURE ENOUGH , even after putting my in my Uber eats order notes about size it came light again. This picture represent a family sized poutine with extra cheese ..... so this is not that .... this was a complete rip off , I think I payed just under 24 bucks for a small poutine from any other place. Mind blown , this will be a total of 4 order from this location , and I have to say they really make prime time donair look bad . I will not be back.

This was a lovely new place to try. The kids loved it too. They had the poutine but again with the lactose intolerance they can't have any cheese. It would be nice if the establishment gets on the band wagon with other restaurants to provide alternate cheese options so we can fully enjoy their food. Getting some lactose free cheese like daiya which alot of restaurants already do or vegan cheese for an additional cost would be great for your restaurant as it would help accommodate those with diatery restrictions like lactose. I am all up for paying the added fee to enjoy my meal and not have to constantly remove it from the food.

I had the chicken shawarma which was absolutely mouth watering. I opted for the garlic sauce as again it does not have dairy. You will not be disappointed! I also want to point out that the server was so amazing. I told him of my lactose intolerance and he went out of his way to go check all three sauces to see which one I could have. Now that's some good customer service. Overall we were very impressed it being our first time and I would definitely go back again.

The fries won't keep and get soggy by the next day so make sure to finish your poutine the same day. It's best when it's fresh so order an appropriate size. My two little ones couldn't finish half of a regular so if you have little ones order the small. If you are sharing order the regular. They also have a kid menu which is lovely to see. It seems that the menu isn't the only thing that changed. The portion size of their Donaire rice platters are definitely smaller than they used to be. Maybe it's because they changed the boxes they're packaged in for take out. They also tried charging for a bag, which I believe is only a single use bylaw for Edmonton, so I'm not sure why this business is charging for them. Everybody needs to make a buck apparently.

Original Review - September 2022I enjoy the PrimeTime donair sauteed with sweet and spicy sauce for a change from classic donairs. The portions at this location seem typical of other donair shops in the area, and it's just as tasty. My wife enjoys the classic donair platter with rice, and it's a fairly nice portion as well.

Worst donairs I've ever had. Ordered 2 large donairs almost 40 bucks. Hardly any meat at all. Mostly empty pita. I'll never be coming back. Please don't waste your money here. Absolute garbage. Trust me.

I just stopped in to get a donair sauce cup for a meal I had left overs from and noticed that this establishment had great pricing and the lad behind the counter was super friendly and welcoming! I just tried that sauce cup and I can tell you that it was delicious compared to the other surrounding places I’ve tried, I haven’t had any food from this place as of right now but walking in I can tell you it smells delicious and the sauce was incredible so I’m defiantly grabbing a meal tomorrow after work and now looking forward to it!

Went here this afternoon. A standard Donair and a mega Donair had about the same amount of meat in it. The meat was in small chunks more like burger meat instead of your normal long cut style of Donair you would get at any other Donair restaurant. $36 for two Donairs and two pop. It was absolutely disgusting the worst donair I have ever eaten. Two customers walked in as I was eating took a-look at my Donair and walked out. I got half way through my Donair and through it out. A total waste of time and money. Don’t eat here go to another Donair restaurant.
