This year we had the opportunity to experience it for the first time. A very nice camping area. It's great to have water activities. The temperature of the lake water provides very good swimming opportunities. The beach part can be improved.

Beaver Lake is a great campground tucked away by Lac La Biche that has all the amenities and things one could ask for.

The tenting sites are quite spacious and although some are quite close together, this works well if you are camping with a group of people on two sites like we were. Some of the tenting sites have power, but the sites for RVs and trailers do have full hookups. Those sites, however, are very close together with little to no privacy.

There are full service bathrooms complete with showers and pit toilets as well. The bathrooms are cleaned daily, although after a long day they can get sort of dirty. There is also a nice little camp store where you can buy wood, ice cream, and other items as well. If you do need anything more substantial, Lac La Biche is less than a 10 minute drive away.

The campground is located on Beaver Lake which is great for swimming, kayaking, boating, and fishing. The water is clean and is quite warm as far as Alberta lakes go. The beach at the campground is small, but still serviceable.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Beaver Lake and I look forward to returning at some point in the future.

Group area 1 was very spacious with a cooking shelter that we used extensively due to the rain. There is a fairly new playground that the kids loved. The area was quiet with a private path to the beach. We would camp here again. Staff were friendly.

One of the best lakes i visited in Canada by far. Amazing views and if you are into water sports, this is the place. There are lifejackets available for everyone to use at the lake. You can also check out the lake convenience store and try their delicious Ice Cream.

At first didn’t expect much of the park because the entrance is full of campsites not very private, it looks crowded. But we stayed in #61 and it was actually very nice, we had clean water next to the site, the campers are nice and quite (not all of course) but they give you the phone number to call the conservation officer to call in case of problem during night hours, which is awesome. The bathrooms are being cleaned twice a day which is also great, showers are FREE, so overall very good experience. I would recommend to stay in the loop sites or closer to the beach but definitely not by the entrance of the park. Also there is no dump station inside campground but they direct you to one in town, just to keep in mind. The beach was gorgeous and the family really enjoyed it.

Rude staff scolding us saying no music allowed in the camp site at 7pm. Dogs barking and car alarms going off all night. Front desk closed multiple times a day. Algae in the water, dirty bathrooms, crowded sites like a sardine can. Wish I could get my money back.

The spots near the office are longer than they are wide. The office offers snacks, Wood ($10/per bin), ice cream, fishing gear and camp gear. Boat launch is a short jaunt away. There isn't much of a beach, but it's perfect for a night or two and a quick dip. Well kept sites and friendly staff.
