Shelly and Brian are the loveliest of hosts. From arrival to departure we felt welcomed, comfortable and full! (The cinnamon buns are delicious and fresh from the oven). The beds were super comfortable and the rooms very homey. |If you are heading to the Amherst region make sure to stay here. You won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful B and B, on the shores of the Northumberland Straight, with a great view and a short, five minute walk to the beach. The hosts are awesome, helpful and friendly, willing to do anything to make your stay more than enjoyable. Want to go clam digging? If in season, Shelly will take you, bucket and shovel in hand. The marine life you will see at the beach, will more than make-up for any disappointment if you don’t get any clams. ☺️ Breakfast is copious and delicious. Beds are comfy and they offer an apartment to rent by the week, right in their lovely home. I have stayed here several times, plus I have referred friends from England and Ontario, all of whom were equally delighted with their stay! You will be too!

Over the years, I have spent a total of over five months staying at Stuart House. Warm friendly hosts, Shelly and Brian Tanner make you feel like a visiting friend. They are knowledgeable about the area and can provide information about dining choices, attractions and best of all, directions to the beach! Stuart House is centrally located in the Maritimes with easy access to both Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. I enjoyed my stay and I know you will too!

Brian and Shelley were so nice right from the first Hello on the phone while inquiring about booking a room in their home. We booked on short notice and luckily they had one room available. They were friendly, warm, knowledgeable about the area and surrounding communities. They made us feel right at home and like a part of the family. I would highly recommend this B&B and would definitely stay there again! Loved the peaceful front deck at night watching the stars and the the fire works from across the road. The beach was so close and easy to access and breakfast was wonderful, the room was clean and comfortable. Nice to chat with fellow guests and our hosts. 5* from me!

Lovely accomodations in a large Victorian period home. The home is beautiful and very well maintained. The proprietors, Shelly and Brian are lovely and welcoming. We felt comfortable and at home with them.
On our first night, Shelly stayed up and watched the final Raptors game and shared the victory with us.
We highly recommend this B&B, you will not regret.
And oh, breakfast is home prepared with such care and served on fine china. Everything was so delightful.

It was the 4th time our family of five stayed at Shelly's wonderful B&B. Every time was special and we always felt like coming back to the most welcoming home for a good night's rest during our travels. The breakfast is so generous and pleasant and there is plenty of room to relax in the living room upstairs, either to chat or watch "The best of Mr Bean" or play a game. Shelly is a most welcoming host. Thank you so much again for your hospitality!

Das B&B liegt direkt am Northumberland Strait und an der Sunrise Route. Das Haus liegt alleine und ruhig, der nächste grössere Ort ist Amherst ca 20 Autofahrt entfernt. Das Haus ist toll eingerichtet und hat tolle Gastgeber. Shelly macht ein unglaublich gutes und frisches Frühstück. Das schönste dabei ist, dass man dabei den Kolibris zusehen kann wie sie Wasser trinken. Unser Zimmer war sehr gross, ebenso das dazugehörige Bad. Die Betten waren bequem und alles ist sehr sauber. Es gibt einen Aufenthaltsraum mit Fernsehr. Für unsere Tochter gab es im Obstgarten sogar eine Schaukel. Zu erwähnen ist unbedingt, dass es nur wenige Meter zu Fuss zum Strand sind, wo man toll Muscheln sammeln kann und allerhand Meerestiere sieht. Das Wasser ist warm und lädt zum Baden ein.||||Wir können dieses B&B absolut weiterempfehlen.

Shelly made us feel completely at home in her family run bed and breakfast. It is full of amenities for guests, including a big screen TV complete with Netflix access as well as DVD's and lots of board games. She sat and engaged us in conversation over tea and homemade ginger biscuits. Yum! Breakfast was delicious, filling and there was plenty of choice. No restaurants are nearby but Shelly referred us to the Sandpiper, about 20 minutes away. It was a good choice, reasonably priced and large portions.
