One of our favourite restaurants throughout the years and since it’s been opened. You can’t go wrong with anything you order here, as everything is perfectly executed. But the agnolotti is swoon-worthy and a MUST.

Food is fresh, simple with few quality ingredients yet yielding complex and elevated flavours. Ambience is casual but sophisticated. Service is attentive, fun, and knowledgeable.

Bar Bricco is a trendy hip Italian wine bar offering small and easily shareable plates adding to its unique charm. Accompanied with an outstanding Italian wine list and cocktail menu, Tate was on staff offering a lively attitude and even livelier menu for one's taste buds.

Because there were four of us we tried every thing from the olives and focaccia to the Mortadella, Vacche Rosse & Balsamico Vecchio.
The Egg Yolk Raviolo, Ricotta, Burnt Butter & Parmigiano was SO GOOD that we ordered a second for the table and the shared Fonduta Agnolotti, Sage Butter & Parmigiano was all the rage online and was unique and fun sharing a pasta eaten with your hands; the pasta is some of the very best I've ever tasted!
Though we were told the beef would take some time, the service, food and cocktails were so good we decided to wait and enjoy more. The Wagyu Beef Carne Cruda, Bagna Cauda, Crema was my wife's favorite that we will definitely be going back for.
For cocktails we tried everything from a bottle of wine, to Whiskey Sours, Negronis and more; all were outstanding!

If you want to enjoy an intimate, fresh yet fun night out with friends or loved ones sharing quality food and time, Bar Bricco is the downtown Edmonton restaurant you've been looking for!!!
Highly Recommended!!!

5 stars but service is hit or miss in my history!

Book a reservation. Do not just walk in. It will be highly likely you will not get a seat, even at the bar. Recommend looking at the menu before hand to decipher the dishes. The menu doesn’t read in self explanatory terms in the sense that it is very Italian. Not a bad thing but can be overwhelming never been there before. Check the photos in google reviews and Instagram to give you an idea of dishes and how they are presented. Once the ordering is out of the way sit and relax. Enjoy the cocktail or glass of wine by candlelight as you wait for eats. It takes a little while but that’s part of the experience. What can be frustrating from time to time is the service. With the understanding of how crazy busy this place is most of the time I let it slide. Most servers will take note of wait times on food and provide you with a status update without being asked. Unfortunately during my latest experience the couple sat next to me at the bar after I was seated put their drink order in before us. Got the drinks before us. Then even ordered before us which resulted in them getting some food before us. I feel like there’s just not enough staff maybe considering the high demand for service in an environment in which you’re paying a premium for the entire dining experience. Just have patience. That’s what I’d suggest dining here for the first time or 10th time haha

Overall will come back. Will book a reservation. Will bring friends! Will eat all the fonduta agnolotti, sage butter and parmigiano ! Aka the little pillows of happiness lol

My co-worker and I went to Bar Bricco, he's been here before however I haven't. I've worked at a lot of popular Italian restaurants in Toronto and have worked in Italy before. It is probably one of my favourite cuisines. I do not remember the last time I've had Italian food this fantastic.

We had ordered the daily special of local charred peas, the tuna crudo, Formaggi Misto and added the proscuitto, and another order of Focaccia.

- The focaccia was fantastic, had a glass shattering beautiful golden crust, the inside was super moist and light, so moist almost wet. I haven't had focaccia this tasty and just executed perfectly with great seasoning. You can tell that they make this focaccia and bread fresh daily.

- The cheese tasted like it was kept out of the fridge which is how it should be, it was the perfect temperature. The balance of the black pepper and honey, the pepper jam, the expertly grilled bread (not too hard and not too soft just the perfect amount of softness and pull that is perfect to enjoy with the cheese and dip into the honey or jam)

- The peas, I was not having high expectations that my co-worker wanted to order the peas however it was incredible. The little bit of char on the tips, the olive oil coating, the perfect amount of maldon on top, the texture of the peas just expertly cooked with a hint of a bite. I sadly misjudged the dish but really really enjoyed it.

- The tuna crudo I wanted to order to try to understand the use of almond milk. It was quite an interesting dish, loved the texture of the tuna, the spiciness but not overly spicy. The almond milk sauce was just fantastic. It was tangy and citrusy but right before the point that it was too tangy and citrusy.

- The addition of the proscuitto: the proscuitto was sliced at the ideal thickness, and expertly sliced that showed that they must maintain their slicer in the back on a daily basis and ensure it is as sharp as Samurai's Katana.

I would highly highly recommend this spot. We didn't order the pastas but based on the other dishes that we had experienced tonight, I can only imagine how perfectly executed those dishes would be. The Chef here and her team not only know how to cook but to have a team that really enjoys how to execute Italian food to another level with the attention and care that not many people give it is masterful. Our server was also incredible and really knew the menu inside and out, super friendly. The team at Bar Bricco = 11/10. Would check this place out again next time I'm in Edmonton!

Enjoyed the truffle honey with focaccia, prosciutto, kale salad, stracci verde, and fonduta agnolotti. Super delicious but definitely on the pricier side when factoring in portion sizes. Loooved the truffle honey! Cocktails are on the bitter side.

Bar Bricco itself is a great vibe, loved the lighting, but the music was definitely too loud. Left with a bit of a ringing ear and a sore throat from having to practically shout to talk with friends.

Very surprised to see this gem so far from Italy, but that felt so Italian. Very simple unsophisticated food, but really well prepared. Beautiful fennel salad. Only recommendation: bring the music down a bit.

This is, in my opinion, the standout of Chef Daniel Costa's restaurants. They excel in pasta, crostini and everything else! The venue is dark and sultry - make sure if you want a low table you specify that in advance. Service is always impeccable and friendly, and the servers are knowledgeable on food and drink pairings. I also love that this place is just as lovely for a casual date night as for a major event.

Bar Bricco is my go to spot for wine. It has a beautiful dimly lit ambience for that cozy feel and the food is phenomenal to go with their large selection of curated wines. Many accompaniments like their cured meats make for a fine pairing. Definitely recommend their agnolotti as well. If you are looking for a relaxing night out, there is not place better than this.
