I recently had the best Nordic spa experience to date at Nature Folk Spa! Unlike some of the more popular Nordic spas in Nova Scotia, they do not overbook, allowing you to truly enjoy the full experience in a relaxed and peaceful environment—just as it's supposed to be.

We opted for the infrared sauna, which included a private room with its own shower, and it was incredible. The atmosphere was calm, serene, and perfectly set up for relaxation. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, taking the time to explain everything in detail and ensuring we were comfortable throughout our visit. There were also hydration stations conveniently placed around the spa, which was a nice touch.

Overall, it was a perfect spa day, and I can’t recommend Nature Folk Spa enough for anyone looking for a genuinely relaxing and rejuvenating Nordic spa experience!

I have gone twice, and both times have exceeded my expectations.
The staff were welcoming, accommodating and kind. The spas and sauna areas are clean, quiet and beautifully decorated to create a serene, calming environment.

The treatments themselves (curated massage, and head in the clouds facial) done by Chantal, were incredible, leaving us both (somehow) energized AND relaxed.

What an easy getaway from urban life! I love Naturefolk for the easygoing staff, intentionally crafted spa treatments, and affordable thermal circuit!
Such an easy transit commute from the peninsula; an easy excuse to hop on the ferry. I love that I can make plans the night before and head to Naturefolk for a full-body reset.
If you're undecided about whether you want to splash out extra for the 2 hour option in the circuit, definitely do it!

I recently visited this space for the first time. We brought a few ladies after a fun night out. I couldn't be more thankful for the staff that helped me arrange everything. I was very worried about overwhelming the with people and stressing them out but they were very accommodating and reassuring that I wasn't a huge pain ?
We did the Thermal Circuit and it was wonderful. It was my first time doing something like this and it was worth it for sure. The salt scrub and mud masks were really great.
What a gem of a place nestled just off the Dartmouth waterfront.
Special thanks to Ali and Tamika (spelling) who's names I remember, but even the sweet ladies who's names I didn't catch at the front desk when we arrived were all very wonderful.

Visited to do a circuit with friends for a birthday and had an excellent time! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The facility was awesome. My favorite parts were the cold tub and the face mask. I'll definitely be back! The location was excellent, too. I'd recommend the Nature Folk Wellness Collective to anyone!

I was pretty disappointed with the Nordic circuit at Nature Folk. It’s the smallest one I’ve ever seen at a Nordic spa, and it’s certainly a “no frills” experience. We paid for two hours eight unseen but quickly realized there’s not much to keep you there for that time. It's clearly meant to be instagrammed but function wise there isn't much to it.

They have two saunas, two small pools, a cup of salt and a cup of mud. That’s it. The cold plunge pool is not very cold at 11 degrees, and the hot pool is also not that hot. They offer no other temperatures. They also seem to overbook the tiny space, making it difficult to use the tiny locker rooms and other small spaces. There is only one shower and one toilet in each locker room. The circuit was full of people during the time we were there, and it was difficult to relax.

The water they offered for drinking was warm and sitting in a plastic jug all day, unlike a lot of these spas where they offer chilled fruit water. The spa is also completely inside the building, with no windows to look out of (they are at the very top of the wall, like basement windows) and overall just a very small space, full of people.

The service was good and it wasn’t dirty, but with that said that's a pretty low bar to hit. I wouldn’t recommend this spot to others interested in these spa experiences. It’s pretty bare bones, and there are much better ones around or just outside of HRM.

I loved this spa, they were very welcoming. Very great way to spend a nice quiet afternoon or evening. They have options for just one hour as well if you’re tight on time!

I had an amazing and relaxing session at nature folk. My massage therapist was so kind and so welcoming. I left very relaxed with some great new products.
The receptionist was also very informative and welcoming.
