I called to see if they had rooms available for next week for my employees and i wanted to reserve with a credit card just like any other hotel/ motel I've ever booked. The gentleman ( not, and snarky) on the phone said they maybe have rooms but that we have to show up first as they don't take credit cards over the phone.
Ive never heard of not being able to reserve a room at a motel ahead of time. Besides that, the guy was very rude and condescending when all I asked was if they had rooms available and why cant i reserve with a credit card?
Well, your loss Prairie Haven. Our Company would have given you lots of business but now we will stay somewhere else.

After a late drive stopped in to this place, looked quaint and quiet. Friendly staff, room extremely clean, very smokey smell but clean sheets and clean room. Had a great recharge and hot breakfast included hit the spot. Slow but friendly and wod stay again.

Bathroom door couldn't close properly, and kitchen cabinets couldn't open. mini fridge would freeze everything. Carpet was ugly, not clean, we found insects inside our unit, under the sink. Toilet not working properly, flushing properly. No snow removal, no cleaning. Steps all slippery.
Requested return of deposit and they kept it for a week. Tried to move rooms despite covid happening, and were not happy with our disapproval of service. Management was very poor. Don't stay here even if they pay you to.

Staff excellent, great value for the money. ||Will stay again. Didn't understand past reviews. What did they expect? I choose a non smoking room excellent felt and looked like a hotel room but priced as a motel.

This is a decent hotel. It is kind of rough around the edges, but for it's age and price it's great. The guy at the desk is outstanding in customer service. The room was clean. Some of the renovations are kind of second rate work, and more needs to be done. The shower has an enormous amount of pressure. I felt like getting a hose and hooking it up to the shower head to wash the mud off of our vehicle. The beds in this room are double size.

I've stayed in low budget motels because I'm not picky for a bargain if the place is clean and decent. This place was like out of a horror film. The room was falling apart. Could see light coming through the edge of door (not sealed). the cupboards were off or falling off. The bathroom was unclean. The lamps were so visibly dirty. The pillows were an inch thick. Could feel the springs in the bed. Horrible sleep and left as early as possible - slept head to toe in hoodies, pants and socks with our own pillows.

I was travelling thru and needed a place to stay. I went in to Prairie Haven Motel, I knew i wasnt staying in a hotel so did not expect all thr frills. What i did get was suprising great service, clean room, good sleep and did not pay arm and leg. I will make Prairie Haven my home away from Home. also the food in their restaurant was home made good food. very impressed for older motel. also i was lucky to get a room they have been selling out for past 4 months. Good Job to staff and Owners to provide good rooms at good rates. ||CHEERS|Happy Guest

Where to start..||Carpets are totally disgusting like they have never been cleaned so dont remove your shoes. Cold room and turning the heat up doesnt help. Went to have a bath and the plug was broken. Burn holes in the comforter. Water was cold so no having a bath. Weather stripping let in a nice cold draft. The place needs fresh paint new carpets and proper care basically a total refit. Total dive avoid it. I left with half of my money returned after 3 hour stay.
