I will state some facts, but you must make your own decision on whether you want to book a stay here:|We were traveling with another couple and made reservations for two rooms several months in advance. We received a confirmation by email. |We were running late the day of arrival, so I called to tell them when we would be arriving. We were about 1.5 hours away. We were told our rooms were not available due to water damage. They said they were unable to reach us by email ahead of time. Obviously, we were upset and shocked by this news. They mentioned some other places in the area where we might find a room, but offered no other help. |We were frantic, but after a number of phone calls we were able to find a place that could offer us two rooms for three days.|I don't know where or why the breakdown in communication occurred, but it is very disturbing to have the rug pulled out from under you at the last minute like this.

This place may be deceiving..but DO NOT let that stop you. Place is a huge home…several rooms typical of a B and B. We were greeted very friendly by the owner….and were checked in very quickly. Chatted quite a bit, and soon realized we were the only ones staying there. .also we’re told that COVID restrictions were recently lifted giving them the opportunity to reopen. Yes, we had to go downtown for breakfast, but we’re given the whole breakfast menu to choose from. |Back to the the ”luxury” suite itself. Yes the room isn’t huge…Yes the furniture it antique..but the bed is comfortable. You are given the choice to go down To the sitting area to watch tv….there is a coffee machine there to grind the beans for each and every cup you enjoy. Did we mind driving the .6 km down the road for breakfast? Not for that kind we sure weren’t. Do I recommend this place? FOR SURE! Bill was very kind, generous and we will for sure be telling people about his place. When we return, and I hope it’s not another 15 years, we hope this place is still here.|Thanks Bill, very very much!!!

The name of this B & B is deceptive as the rooms are not suites by any means. We stayed four nights. Our room was large with a king bed, but the furniture was not very comfortable. There was a jacuzzi in the room that took up a lot of space, but which we didn’t use. The two large upholstered chairs were old and saggy, making a long sit uncomfortable. Also the four king-size pillows were all too firm for our taste. Some softer ones would have been appreciated. Breakfast is not provided in the house, but rather in a local restaurant. The breakfast menu was quite good, but it was a bit annoying to go to another location a half-mile away for breakfast. We probably would stay somewhere else in Baddeck next time.

We enjoyed our two night stay. It’s conveniently located and has parking. It’s a short drive into Baddeck, but some guests chose to walk. ||It’s a very nice B&B, comfortable, clean. Although, I’d say it’s a bit of a stretch to call the rooms “luxury suites”. We did avail ourselves to the jacuzzi bath, which was quite nice after a long day of driving and walking around the town. ||Breakfast was not onsite, but at The Freight Shed. Pretty awesome. ||The best part of our stay was sitting on the dock across the street. The hotel faces the water, separated only by the road. Cross that road and you’ll find a dock and some chairs. We sat on the dock with a bottle of red wine. A total delight. Highly recommended.

Our room was nice, but not luxurious. The room had a window air conditioner, but the living area of the main house did not. The main common area was very hot, so not conducive to relaxing with other guests. We never saw the owners which was a negative. One of the things we like about B&Bs is visiting with the owners. The breakfast was great.

We bought a luxury queen suite. I thought that we were getting a larger room with a sitting area, They have a hot tub in the bathroom but I doubt very many use it. It would be better to take it out and increase the size of the room. This was no suite . The room was very small , had just one chair, no desk or space to move around. ||The staff, Vicki, was attentive and pleasant||The property has a great view and the room was clean||Breakfast was served at the owners restaurant around1 mile away. ||They offer a choice of 6 standard items. I bought an upgraded meal , lobster and eggs and was delicious . They charged me the full price and didn't discount the cost of the included meal. I paid 22.00 ||||Only complaint was the size of the room.

We stayed here for one night after finishing the Cabot Trail from the Chetticamp side of Cape Breton. It was interesting to note that we had to check in by 7pm, and there was absolutely no management or employee on site until the next morning. The beds were very soft and comfortable, the place was clean, and the showers were hot. The free breakfast the next morning was at a restaurant down the street a little ways with an excellent view of the lake. Overall, a nice stay.

Das Bell View hat eine phantastische Lage direkt am See - manche der Zimmer haben sogar Seeblick. Es liegt am Ortsrand von Baddeck, was überhaupt kein Problem ist, weil der Ort recht klein ist und man alles fußläufig erreichen kann. Unser Zimmer war klein aber fein - sehr geschmackvoll viktorianisch eingerichtet. Beim Frühstück wurden wir von Denise mit einem hervorragendem Frühstück begrüßt: Pancakes, Omelette, Toast. Einfach lecker. Ich würde das B&B jedem, der nach Cape Breton kommt uneingecshärnkt empfehlen.
