When I came to Kingfisher’s Bar & Grill, the place was moderately busy yet still managed to get a seating at the bar counter. I was captivated by the sights of the river from the inside of the restaurant, and thought it looked great during the winter. The interior of the bar & grill looked modern but also high-toned in design.

I ordered the Cajun Pasta with the Pineapple Ginger Punch virgin cocktail for dinner. When I ordered the drink, the bartender told me that they had no pineapple juice, but used orange juice instead, which I thought made a better substitute. The ginger punch had a strong ginger-taste to it while still maintaining a solid good flavour. The pasta dish was exquisite. The rose sauce had a good zesty flavour that was not at any point overly spicy. The chicken and sun-dried tomatoes were great in it and went exceptionally good with the sauce. I also enjoyed the focaccia bread that came with the entrée.

The bartender and servers were very serviceable and did not find myself waiting too long for anything.

I had a great first experience at the Kingfisher Bar & Grill and would recommend this restaurant for any meal of the day.

We had the quesadilla happy hour special which was good. Also had the butcher burger with fries. I asked for a side of gravy and was told all they had was mushroom gravy, I said I’ll take it. The quesadilla was good. The burger was pretty dry. I didn’t complain as I’ve had a lot worse. The gravy had an amazing depth of flavour. We had a card for a free gift(promo) from the last time we were there. It ended up to be good for a glass of house wine or a beer or a dessert. We chose to share the dessert and had the apple rum cake. It took quite a long time. Our waitress said at one point it was just in the oven and would be out in a couple of minutes, when we got it it wasn’t very hot and had ice cream that wasn’t melting on top. We didn’t really taste much rum flavour in the cake. The view from the enclosed patio was very good.

Awesome! We highly recommend.

We had my wife's birthday lunch there today and loved it! The atmosphere included a framed Silver Powder Blues LP and views of the river to die for!
(Coming back in the summer for sure to try the multi-level outside riverside sitting)
Our server with a rock star name, Felicia C, was amazing! She was so friendly and gave us time to explain the boat nearby, the Albian Ferry history and origins of the Kingfisher name. (Ask!)
And gave us time to graze and watch the ice and seals go bye 🙏🏻❤️

Best of all was the outstanding and delicious food. Complements to the chef! We started with an amazing squash soup, chicken sliders and a glass of wine. Then, onto fish and chips, a shared tiramisu, (darn that was big) and a great cup of joe to finish!
Thank you!
A wonderful birthday outing!
Cheers!

OMG, I love this cafe. I visited this place with my partner in evening. Everything was so good. I love the ambience, food and drinks. Recommend to set outside in evening, sunset looks amazing.

If you’re nonalcoholic and vegetarian you should try Blended cocktails peach flavour and Mediterranean falafel burger both are amazing. For alcoholic beverage we tried Corona bomb and original Bellini bomb and chicken wings. It taste so good. If you visit this place must try Corona bomb, chicken wings and their burger, they taste amazing.

This was our first time dining at kingfishers, and likely our last. The wait time for food is definitely longer than it should be, perhaps they’re short staffed on bussers and kitchen staff. The chowder is very underwhelming and bland. The wings were decent. The oysters arrived not on ice but in a pool of water. They were replaced but as another diner review stated, they seemed slimy? I wouldn’t recommend getting oysters here.
The burger tasted sort of good but it is thick and on the dry side. The fish and chips seemed to be the only dish that was enjoyed with no complaints. The service was really friendly and accommodating, I feel for the servers as the kitchen is clearly struggling to provide quality dishes.

For a long time this restaurant was maligned and we did not go. Then we heard new management and went back and it was good. We decided to go back for a non transition time. The potato pave was spectacular and oysters were delicious. the chicken wings were overly salty and the chicken tenders were slightly dry but the salad was good. Service was excellent and the view is always good. The frozen mule was award winning and the margarita was kick arse. Beers and wine are solid and parking is ample. We will be back.

This is my second visit here because I like the room. It's a bright restaurant with lots of windows and a river front view with a large patio.
The first visit we went for brunch it was a full restaurant and food took over an hour to come. Which I understood as it was really busy. When the brunch came, it was mediocre at best. I had a salmon Benny, the eggs were under done and the salmon wasn't good. He had the basic breakfast which was also underwhelming. The server great, explained that brunch wasn't your strong suit and invited us back to try lunch or dinner as it's more popular. I appreciated her honesty.
Went back the other day, a few months later to try lunch. I had fish tacos with fries and a side Caesar salad and he had the chicken sliders with fries. The tacos tasted stale and the batter was soggy with a weird spice, fries were fresh and hot. The salad seemed like it was out of a bag, bland dressing but I liked the croutons. Chicken sliders were greasy. Again the server was amazing she took care of the tacos and invited us back with a mystery gift card. During this visit we waited 45 minutes for food and there were only 2 or 3 tables in the place. A couple sitting next to us, regulars, said it's always slow for food and that they often have complaints. They asked if the fries were actually hot, which they indeed were. They were my favorite part of the meal. So I would definitely try this place again for drinks, most likely not for food because the venue and the servers are great.

I’ve been here 3 times and it’s great every time. Service is wonderful and so friendly. Food is good , been there only for brunch all this time , tasty but only the breads are so oily , mentioned it last time and it was done with no oil , which was great.
I love the patio . I only come here from far away because of the patio , it’s the only restaurant/pub that I know of with this view . It can get very cold specially the legs n feet cause the little heater they plug in does not warm up enough , so cover your legs with your jacket which we did . But it was good and we still enjoyed our time and come again .
