You can't go wrong with anything on the Swirls menu. We visit from out-of-town once a year and try something new every time. If I lived in Medicine Hat, I'd need an intervention because I'd be coming to Swirls every day!

The friendly staff that always greet you with a warm smile and the most delicious ice cream , and I have also enjoyed Swirls vegan treats. Thanks Swirls I love the service and variety of ice cream you make 😊

Milkshakes were decent, really only place to grab an cream. I believe the ice cream is from Foothills Creamery. Near that they had a cash line and a debit line. I liked at first the ATM machine, then kinda got the sketchy card skimming vibe from it.
Lots of choices to pick from ice cream wise.
Lots of parking
No public washrooms
Walk up style buying
Easy to get from the highway if driving through
We are from out of town and would stop again

Swirls has so many options, there's no way they won't have something for everyone. The portion sizes are enormous, amd the staff are friendly and quick. They have both soft serve, and hard ice cream options. Things like blizzards, Sundays, banana splits, milkshakes etc.

I was in line this past Tuesday and had a very awkward experience. The sweet young lady working seemed very stressed and later an older woman (maybe the owner?) was talking to her in a very demanding way. It was just disheartening to witness and turned me off of the company as I have a granddaughter who's around her age. I think a word of advice for a small business like yours it to ensure conversations are kept private from the customers. But kudos to the employee, your customer service was great. Keep on rocking it!

Update; I am updating this review on September 25 as I have had contact with the company. The company asked me to reach out to them the day that I made this review where they correctly informed me that their gift cards do indeed have a cash value, and the employee who said otherwise was mistaken. I was emailing back-and-forth with the manager, Abby, who then had me come to swirls today where she reimbursed all four of my gift cards to correct the mistake that occurred. I will definitely go back to swirls and absolutely recommend their milkshakes among many other desserts that they have.

I really like swirls products but was disappointed today to find out that if I buy gift cards and don’t use the whole balance in one sitting, I have to forfeit the remainder as they have no cash value…not impressed with that policy. I didn’t expect to receive cash back but I did expect to have the remainder be available to use or be able to use it for the people behind me…don’t think I’ll be getting gift cards here again. I do not blame the worker, I blame the company who created this policy.

I stood in line for 20 mins. Never been to your place - first time from out of town. I could barely read your menu in the dark, would help if I new what an "arctic swirl"?. One young person working alone - not good. Keep hearing "we are out of that", my turn, I ask for a few things, told "we are out of those"...I left with nothing....not impressed.
