Sizzling Wok in Mill Woods Town Centre, Edmonton, Alberta, is arguably one of the worst places to grab Chinese food. The experience starts with a complete lack of customer service—staff members barely speak English, making it nearly impossible to communicate your order or any specific preferences. Adding to the frustration, the portions are ridiculously small for the price, leaving you hungry and disappointed after spending your hard-earned money. To top it all off, the staff are notoriously rude, rushing customers and showing little regard for politeness or hospitality. The food itself is far from authentic or flavorful, often tasting stale or overly greasy. With so many better options available in the area, it’s baffling how this place remains in business. Save yourself the headache and find a spot that actually values its customers and serves quality meals.

Really it’s very bad experience for me in my life. Ever had like cheating food like this. Simply waste of money and very disappointed. Coz today we have ordered like 3 combos (each combo 1 rice or noodle and 2 kind of meats in that). 1 meat they have named Seasame Chicken in that combo. It’s no meat at all in 3 orders, just flour-battered fried dumplings tossed with sweet soy sauce. I have talked with that food counter staff regarding this. But she was very rude and said this dish is like that. I have attached photos as well. They are not responding at all, what customers said. Also i checked their all reviews. Already so many customers are mentioned that same complaint, but not correct at all. So don’t serve this kind of cheating foods to the customers. They have thinking no body gonna comeback in future, coz it’s mall. Thousands of customers coming and going. No body will not complaint it.

Tried Sizzling Wok at the mall food court (last time I did was in 20s now, I'm in my middle ages). I had a three-piece combo with fried rice, which was ok. The service is a little rough, and the menu’s a mess—prices aren’t clear, and it feels stuck in the early 90s. It's not going to win any awards in taste, but it’s affordable, and it's good if you're craving mid to low Chinese food. They need to update their menu posters and maybe get a late-night spot or just move out of a dying mall.

I bought a house combo from here, they gave me the food and handed me the machine to pay. I opened up my Apple Pay right away as I was talking to someone on the phone and the lady just yelled at me to pay first before talking. Which I was already doing. There where several other customers there and it was very embarrassing to get yelled at by an Asian grandma infront of everyone for no reason. I just told her she shouldn’t be treating customers like this and I was paying with my phone and not my card. She didn’t even apologize. I used to come here all the time and there would be a nice lady serving me. This was a bad experience and embarrassing as well.

OLD FOOD DRY FOOD // BIG PORTIONS //BAD QUALITY

check out this deep fried batter 😋

This is your classic quantity over quality, they will fill your box to the brim however the food is old and dry. I agree with the other people posting reviews here.

Definitely do not recommend the boba that’s offered at this shop. Me and a couple of friends went there and we are assuming that the milk used was expired. All flavours are disgusting. The coconut, the strawberry and the avocado definitely do not taste like how they are suppose to. The old Asian lady was rushing us way too much and did not have a good attitude.

To start off with the worker, she was very rude and impatient with me. The POS wasn't working and I did all the procedures to scan my card, and when I asked for assistance she got angry and fumed with me. Highly don't reccomend getting angry at customers if you're going to run a buisness. I took the combo C, and the buffalo chicken was alright with its flavour and it did bring out the "buffaloness", but it was just, so dry and tasted crunchy. So it's texture really ruined it for me. I also had some rice on the side but it tasted really microwaved and there wasn't enough flavour as well. The vegtables were cooked nicely but it was very watery to the taste however. I feel like there could be more effort put into the food and DEFINETLY a lot for the service. So in conclusion, I wouldn't reccomend coming here to eat unless you enjoy being dissapointed. You'll either feel alright about it, or you'll just hate it. And I hated it.

I've been eating here for 7 years. The food is good if you catch it fresh. I've read several comments about rudeness but I've never been treated badly by the lady here. This man can cook! The spring rolls are so good and BBQ chicken is amazing.
