Great food, But understaffed Service

This was our first time visiting tokyo express and we absolutely loved the food! Everything we ordered—tempura, sushi, and drinks—was fresh and delicious.

However, the service was not the best, but not because of the staff’s attitude. The only person working was one lady, who was taking orders, preparing food, serving dine-in customers, and handling online and phone orders all by herself. She was really kind and doing her best, but it was clear she was overwhelmed.

Because of this, we didn’t receive our drinks and second order of sushi on time and it was difficult for her to keep up with all the orders and we have been waiting almost wanted a refund but she apologized and requested us to wait. It just made me wonder why she was working alone when the restaurant was so busy.

I really hope the restaurant considers hiring more staff because the food is truly fantastic, and better service would make this place even more enjoyable!

Good place for sushi, huge selection and good taste. But this place definitely needs huge renovation inside, furniture is old and uncomfortable. Definitely Wouldn’t recommend this place for dine-in.

The food has definitely gone down hill at this location. We had a teriyaki rice bowl and it was bland the sauce didn't help. Also had spicy sushi combo and the fish was quite fishy smelling and tasting. Won't be going back.

Over the years, Tokyo Express portion sizes have become laughable. The food taste is decent, but definitely not a good value in what you are paying for. You used to be able to get a teriyaki chicken bowl and feel satisfied after, but that is no longer the case.

Also, the menu choices for a “fast food“ walk up counter is too cluttered. Some of your choices are up on the menu board, some of them are on the counter and some of them are on a pamphlet. Too confusing

This is my local Tokyo Express and my go to place when I want to grab a quick meal. Everything is always fresh and made to order. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I always have a great experience ordering from here.

This was my first time at Tokyo express and I’m glad Noel and Michael was there to serve us!! They’re so nice and genuine. Even though it was 12 AM They made our meal with love FOR REAL. It was fresh and warm. My friend and I coming back here because of them. Thank you so much Noel and Michael!
