Our go to family swimming location!! The water is so warm and the kids love the different pool depths. They can play in the shallow pool then jump into the deeper pool. The dive tank is too cold for them but then they love the splash pad too. We end off in the hot tub. I wish the family change rooms were bigger and nicer but overall it's great here. We typically go Sundays after naps and before dinner. We've only ever had to wait one time for less than 5-10 minutes.

This is a fantastic facility and the city of Airdrie is lucky to have it. There is also a lot of great art and artifacts around the building. Good place to spend a day.

Great facility lots of things to do but actually getting to use it is a challenge. You can never get an open gym for basketball for longer than and hour and there is hardly anytime for a public swim. Most courts are occupied by pickle ball and badminton while the basketball courts get half a court with 100plus people squashed to one basketball hoop. If you don’t get the luxury of that then you don’t get to play at all. They need to switch the times of the gyms to accommodate to the amount of people actually playing the sport. Today I showed up and payed the fee. Bad idea without looking. There was a courts occupied by nobody but had volleyball nets and pickle ball nets while the other two courts were being used by nobody but didn’t have basketball hoops down. I was told I was out of luck. I asked for a reason why like is it rented or are they going to put something else up and they just ignored me. Then I thought instead of wasting my money I could go swimming. Well that was also being used for private. Not just one pool but all 3 of them. It was 3:00 at the time and it would open at 7:00. So I left with no experience and 7$ less. Do better

Here for hockey - rinks are nice. Lots of seating for fans. Watching is great through the glass up top. Easy access to public bathrooms.

Mainly went here from 2016 to 2018 and a littie bit in 202?) btw my overall review of this place is great but the problems I had was the lifegrauds girls looking at me like im sick or im crazy and ppl laughing at me in the hallways even the felmales with there friends would act disguted when i used to go here the looks i get from the girls staff and ppl yes I know I was a high risk trouble maker okay but instead of asking me to leave or banning me from this place I littie talk and advice would have fixed all my problems here and I would have enjoyed here more in a good way. 🙂 good day guys thx for reading my review

I struggled with this. I usually am a big fan of Genesis. Our girls have been doing swimming lessons there since they were small.

The latest interaction I had made this rating lower. This last week we finished off another class. The instructor wanted one of my daughters to redo the level again. That's fine. The challenge was that we'd already signed her up for the next level.

I was told I could get it switched at the front desk so that's what I did. The guy helping me was very helpful. The challenge was that the class she is supposed to sign up for is full.

I tried to work out what the options were, I asked if they could make room for one more or move her to the next level. He said the only option is to withdraw her and put her on a wait list. Not quite what I was hoping for but ok let's do it.

Since I had to withdraw, he asked if I wanted the money that we used to sign up to go back on our credit card. I said sure, that's when he told there would be a $10 withdrawal fee. It is in the terms and conditions that it was possible to happen and yes we agreed to it. I didn't want to withdraw her, I was told I had to. It's not the amount that bugs me it's the principal of it. If I was taking her then I get it. I didn't have a choice in this case. I was really disappointed that this couldn't be waived. I will be following up with them to see if we can get this resolved.

I like Genesis swimming pool.
The pools temp is very nice and warm. The hot tub is a great temp but could be a little warmer. The change rooms are good because there's a few stalls just for changing, as well as seperate shower stalls and seperate bathroom stalls. Kept fairly clean. The water clarity is definitely something that they need to work on, but it is a nice place for a fun evening. They have a good music playlist of tracks from all times so it was nice energy there too.

Genesis Place is a fantastic recreation center that truly has it all! From the pool with a water slide and lazy river to the fully equipped fitness center, it caters to all ages and interests. The variety of sports courts and multiple ice arenas make it a hub for active living and family fun. Everything is well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's amazing to have so many options in one convenient location. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay active or just enjoy a fun day out!
