This is for my family and I the best Japanese restaurant in Airdrie! All their food is tasty and delicious, however we love their Tonkotzu Ramen! Their calamari as starter is amazing! We are here once a month always! Kudos to the Chef and Kitchen staff for the delectable food! The hospitality from the restaurant waiters is outstanding as usual! Highly recommended!

My partner and I have been going to Mio for about five years now. It’s one of our favorite relaxing sushi spots. We’ve always loved the food and the staff, but they also recently renovated! The hot stone grill is delicious and their sushi is fresh. Their green tea is the perfect accompaniment to their food and the staff always make us feel welcome. I highly recommend coming to Mio and enjoying the chill vibes of their music while indulging in a fantastic meal.

Immaculately clean, super friendly service and the best sushi I’ve ever had. I’m from Vancouver Island so my sushi standards are high. This place blew me away. The fish was fresh, plump, colourful and no “fishy” taste. They’re super generous with their fish. It was beautiful to look at and even better to eat.

You know good sushi by the rice to fish ratio. Most places are mostly all rice. Mio was mostly fish/filling with the perfect amount of rice.

I got yam and avocado rolls for my 1 year old and she loved them. The avocado roll was not skimped out either as it was stuffed with filling rather than rice.

Highly recommend and we will be back!

We had a small family gathering of 8 people here to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. We made reservations, and they were ready for us when we arrived.

The service was timely and friendly. We had a sushi party platter, which was raved about by those who ate it. My father and youngest daughter had the ginger chicken - my daughter, who is 8, had the full size (there's no kids menu here) and ate all of the ginger chicken. That is a testament in itself! I had the teriyaki beef bowl, which was delicious. Mio is definitely a hidden gem that does not get talked about enough!

We’ve had sushi in some of the best spots — from Vancouver to Hawaii — and Mio Stone Grill and Sushi absolutely holds its own. The quality of the fish was top-tier: fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Every bite reminded us of high-end sushi bars we’ve visited on the coast.

We were just passing through Airdrie and decided to stop in, not expecting much. But this place far exceeded our expectations. The service was warm and attentive, the ambiance relaxed yet refined, and the sushi? Simply outstanding.

If you’re anywhere near Airdrie and enjoy great sushi, this is well worth the stop. We’ll definitely be back.
