An absolutely gorgeous hotel that resembles an old castle. Rooms for spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Incredible views.
Rory at the concierge desk is amazing. Great recommendations and got us into a couple sold out restaurants.
Spa staff was a little unknowledgeable.
Small coffee place inside lobby is delicious. A little pricey.

Recommendations:
Ask for a mountain facing room
Spa day and get the cleansing facial
Buy the spa package to get time to swim inside!
Get Sunday brunch - champagne isn’t included

A world class destination resort hotel, a majestic masterpiece set in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. This Fairmont gem affords the finest luxury and prestige and yet a comfort and coziness that are so well mixed it's almost inconceivable. The spa is one of the very best in all of Canada.

A definite must visit when you visit Banff. Probably one of the nicest hotels in Canada. Beautiful stone architecture with tons of history from the last 100 years. Everyone is welcome to come in and tour the beautiful facilities.

We didn’t have a lot of time here, but we stayed for Christmas which is definitely the most expensive time I have ever experienced.
There is wonderful services of buses and activities which are offered the whole time your are there. Just ask the concierge. Everyone is sooooo lovely and happy to chat.
If you forget anything on your trip and it’s too cold out, there are some small shops at the very bottom of the Hotel you can get to, to buy some small pieces. Pricey product, but handy to be right there!
We went to the buffet for Christmas Eve dinner, we expected to pay a few bucks, but we had no idea we had to pay for the Christmas Breakfast Buffet that they reserved tables for every room in the hotel. Was a big shock when we had some gentleman come to us with a card machine thinking that we were to just go to a breakfast that we were invited to.. I wish it didn’t feel so elitist because I felt embarrassed to ask in regards to costs of things and having to pour out Money you need for the rest of your trip on a meal you thought was free.
Lesson learned. Always ask if it’s free, don’t assume.
***If you want top quality and you know you can afford it, go to this Hotel. Otherwise, everyone in Banff is lovely and you can save dollars going elsewhere.

I went here back in 92, went with family members and friend.
Arrived at night in around november 92,
The lobby was huge, the piano was echoing through the whole lobby, was really nice.
Rooms were incredible as well as the views.
Staff were amazing, and the food!

Went skiing for the first time at lake louise not too far away.
I took free lessons for about an hour and finally got up the nerve to try the real slopes.

Must say this was the biggest rush in my life so far; going down this hill, very fast at that.
It seemed like about 20 minutes to the bottom but i did it.
I would like to go back to banff springs hotel soon!

Compared to their rates, this hotel has definitely cheaped out on a number of things. Also, squeaky wheel gets the grease is definitely true here. At first, they gave us a tiny room with no view which shocked me for $750 plus wifi plus parking plus $6 water bottles. We spent two nights at Malcolm in Canmore which gave us a spacious room without having to complain and did not feel that they were out there to charge us for every single thing.

Unbelievable hotel and unbelievable experience. Amazing views and fantastic rooms. All the service staff was extremely polite and attentive. We were at a conference and the food was provided by the hotel as well and it was just amazing!
