Locals love The Prow! I recommend going on a Monday evening for their pasta night. My family enjoyed the chef's special pulled bison fettuccine and their bison and beef burger. The house wines were all a little dry for my taste but the price per glass can't be beat in this town. Reservations are recommended.

It is a great and cosy place to eat at. The service was fantastic, and the menu had both traditional and unique options. I stayed at the BML, so I dined there as well as ordered in. The portion sizes and quality of all the foods I got were amazing. Attaching photos to show the delicately topped avocado toast, which was nothing short of a work of art, the hearty lentil soup, and the giant flakes of parmesan on the salad along with other great delicacies. Did I mention that ketchup was served in a tiny jar?! Smartest idea ever. This was the first time my fry was evenly coated with the tomato goodness. More places should do that.

The only thing I missed was more vegetarian /halal-friendly options. Would have lived to dive into a vegetarian pasta or a seafood pasta, but the options available had alcohol based liquids used in it. Usually, they are hard to separate from a dish, and I wanted to try things without changing them, so I didn't ask for modifications.

All in all, I enjoyed all the dishes I tried and definitely recommend a visit.

We really loved the food, the service and the atmosphere! Such welcoming staff with bright smiles!! Loved it! They even made special cocktails for us on request! A definite must visit if you ever are in Banff!

We ate breakfast at the Prow after staying one night at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge. The space is not overly large, but spacious enough, and it appears to be relatively newly renovated, with some modern touches mixed with elements of a traditional lodge.

The food was good; the kids' breakfast plates were sizable. We also tried the mixed grill and benny, which were good. The standouts were the sausages and bacon.

Service was friendly, and although they were shorthanded, still did their best to keep up with all the patrons.
