Last week I was able to experience this incredible piece of paradise and I cannot rave about it enough! The location is amazing and of course it is hard to find flaws in gorgeous Bracebridge BUT hands down the staff are who make this facility a 107 out of 10!! Pike, Chef, Bugs, Wheels, Lem, Zee, Tine, Rossi, Goon, Terena, Flash, Flint, Lolly, Etsy just to name a few! Honestly everyone we encountered during our visit was amazing and treated us like we were their only guests on site during our stay! The food was beyond exceptional, you could actually taste the love and care that goes into every meal. The accommodations were spotless, comfortable and very well maintained. The extra special little treats and surprises during out stay were game changing and truly made us feel like VIP’s. I can’t thank the Camp Muskoka team enough and I am already excited to book our next few visits. See you soon!

Belinda 🙂

Sharing some trauma from the early 2000s. I was like 10-11 when I went to camp Muskoka for a week. While I was there they threw a kind of dance one night and when we all went back to our cabins our counsellors started talking to each other in concerned whispers, they finally announced to us that we were missing two girls from our cabin. We all started freaking out and they told us other cabins were missing kids too and we all needed to go back to the dance hall. They had us RUN there in pairs. I remember the girl I was running with was crying and I had to try to reassure her everything was going to be ok. When we finally got there we all sat with our cabins on the floor, I remember almost every kid was crying because they were so scared. The counsellors told us that police and our parents had been contacted and we all had to wait patiently for help. Then all the missing kids along with some staff started banging on the windows in full zombie makeup. The counsellors screamed ZOMBIES RUN. So we all ran back to our cabins. We then were told to go to the soccer field but the girls in my cabin were not having it and refused, I remember I went but left shortly after because they started shooting at the fake zombies with paint ball guns or something, it was dark and I got scared so I went back to my cabin. The next day the director or supervisor or whoever apologized to everyone in the dining room and it was the craziest thing ever. Looking back as an adult that was so dangerous and traumatic but a really fun story I get to tell people now.

My experience at Camp Muskoka for my Grade 8 Graduation Trip was OK. When we first arrived the staff were very nice, they were very helpful and helped us make ourselves feel like at home and communicate with others in our rooms. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were fantastic, I am very grateful for this experience. However I may’ve have gotten food poisoning from one of the dishes. I could be wrong as I was the only one that experienced this problem and I wasn’t allergic to anything, but the food choices had so much potential.

The activities there was good, I’ve learned ways to survive in the wilderness by creating simple and basic priorities such as shelter, and fire typically for warmth. Unfortunately, since it was April in Spring Season, Bracebridge still had snow. I was injured several times from the snow collapsing beneath me and getting splinters or scratches from the debris on the ground and from carrying logs. It was very tiring. When it came to the Zip-line part, the gear was somewhat uncomfortable, and during the practice phase where you’ll need to “fall” and try to get back up, it felt like my skin was tearing between my thighs. There was this one staff who was giving attitude because I accidentally initiated the lock feature on one of the wheel parts, and I didn’t realize it until they decided to threaten to remove it from me. I completely understand that your equipment shouldn’t be handled by disarraying the parts, and that it’s for our safety, but the attitude and the threats from one of the staff members was unacceptable.

When it came to the dormitories, it was very clean and organized at the start, but some mattresses were very uncomfortable to sleep on which affected my sleep routine. The washrooms was OK, only two urinals and one stall, but lack of privacy of the showers is concerning as others may be risqué to peeking. During allocation periods, we would usually walk on either side of the road. This is dangerous, especially at night, as the driver may not have a complete awareness of the groups of kids walking or running on the road, meaning that sidewalks is recommended to be added for safe measures.

Overall this experience was neither good nor bad. However if you decide to have a 3-day overnight trip here, I suggest you book a different alternative.

We had our wedding at Camp Muskoka 10.26.19 and it was the MOST magical weekend we could have EVER imagined! We cannot rave more about how perfect this place is - our wedding coordinators Heather and Marnee were phenomenal and the staff were absolutely amazing and super attentive! The most picturesque space for a wedding and our guests had the BEST time staying all weekend in the cabins. Cannot recommend this place more for a wedding or any event!!!

My son and daughter in law had their wedding here a few weeks back. While there was some admin challenges in the early days of booking, They more than made up for it at the weeding weekend. Our guests were treated so well, the property was beautiful and staff took care of all the details. I need to give a special acknowledgement to Drew, Heather & Chef Mike. Drew answered our million questions and help us with all the pre-wedding logistics. Heather and her team hosted us into the early hours of the morning, always making sure everything looked perfect. Chef Mike and the kitchen staff kept us and our guests well fed with some of the best food I've eaten. Thank you Camp Muskoka for all you did to help ensure my son and daughter in law's wedding as so incredibly amazing!

Our organization used this Camp/Leadership Centre for our annual Neurofibromatosis Ontario Family Camp weekend 2024 and despite horrific weather we were extremely impressed. The staff weren't just excellent. They were phenomenal! Warm, welcoming, accommodating and professional they went above and beyond & far exceeded expectations. A special thank you to Employee Shannon (Rossi) who brought the camp to our attention & advocated on behalf of the camp. The office staff Drew, Justine & others were patient, informative and helped work out every detail with us to perfection including back up plans. The camp staff led by Kilt and Gabble was professional, organized & always available when needed The layout of the camp was perfect for our organization as it allowed optimum opportunities to socialize which was a priority for us. The activities were abundant and due to the weather, flexible to adapt or replace one activity for another when it rained. Accommodations were clean, modern & comfortable. The food was camp style food and abundant. Executive Chef Mike available, professional and accommodating. At camp Muskoka the customer service was one of the best our organization has experienced. Thank you so much. We will definitely be returning.
