This was undoubtably the most horrendous, disgusting, takeout I’ve ever had. Having a $108 meal ready in 15 minutes raises questions. Our meal was shared by 5 people and none of us could finish it. It tasted reheated, the food wasn’t traditional, and the almond chicken was.. unrecognizable? I wouldn’t serve that as prison food.

Dining area was closed. Food was horrible, almond chicken was burnt and had nasty gravy all over it, chow mein was 85% celery with just a couple pieces of meat, carrots not peeled had dirt on them, most dishes had no spices, meat was definitely cooked without msg so it was very tough. Tried 6 dishes between 2 people, even the sweet and sour chicken sauce was gross. Chicken balls were not fully cooked. The chicken fried rice was probably the best part...but how hard is that to make?

Not sure what has happened here? Food has been less than acceptable and the owners (lady) attitude is mean lately. I have eaten from the New Haven since I moved here in 2007. The food quality and service has never been in question. Mostly take out but prior Covid, many were sit in experiences. We did a large order ($150ish) for my wife’s birthday Feb 14. I notified the owner by phone and was scolded that should have returned the order (immediately prior to eating any) back to the store (it was a pick up order)The intent of my call was to provide customer constructive feedback not seeking consideration or replacement of my loss. Yesterday after my wife returned home from a hospital procedure (you know the one that you don’t eat for 36 hours, golden years yay!) and was her chosen first meal. We had four dishes. The two egg rolls came soggy with grease, the CFR was sticky and not their prior normal quality, the chicken balls were overcooked in the fryer (had to cut with steak knife),the beef in the beef and broccoli mix was tough like liver (tasted off as well), and found the broccoli tasted off. I stopped in person this time to offer feedback not looking for any compensation. I had the remaining food (mostly still all full, I ate 1/2 the chickenballs) she ordered me to bring the food in, she had an excuse for every issue, scolded me for eating the chickenballs, was yelling whole time (I could not get a word in edgewise), told me she only deals with “nice and honest” people, told me to get out and never to come back. I took my leftover food to my son. Unfortunately, THE NEW HAVEN RESTAURANT has a monopoly in Bracebridge. Hopefully our Town can attract another Chinese Food Vendor to the town we all love. Until then guess we are back to Gravenhurst, RICKSHAW or CHINA HOUSE. We have never been let down by either. Little further to go, worth the beautiful drive (across Muskoka Beach Rd), and both provide more value. My and my wife opinion only today. It has not always been this way!

New Year's Eve dinner was terrible! Just over $100 and most of it went in the trash. The won ton soup was super salty, egg rolls were mush, lemon chicken was dried out, beef and broccoli had a few pieces of beef at best, moo goo guy pan tasted like fish and was mostly broccoli, no dried noodles or fortune cookies. 80% of the meal went in the trash, also bought $56 of food for my my mom and dad, they couldn't eat it either. Never returning!

The food was low-mid

Beef with vegetables came with 80% celery , one broccoli , few pieces of beef and half a mini corn

Egg rolls were flat and gross. Not even 1/4 of that way filled up.

Spent 70$ on take out and was given 2 small packets of plum sauce. I asked for more then said it was a 4 for a dollar.

Would not eat here again.

For woman's day me, my sister, mom and grandma went her to eat. The service man was little mean and annoyed us when we asked questions, I think maybe it was hard to understand our English but also we had to eat it our car.
When we got it, we first tried the egg rolls, they were flat, the filling was poorly put in.
The main dishes were over filled the chicken ball sauce and it dripped all over.
After having a few bites we threw it all out. the rice was dry and tasted burnt and the chicken balls had to much batter. Even the shrimp tasted gross and weird too, no flavor. If you are looking or craving Chinese food THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE

I knew that the food quality had declined over the years with changes in ownership. Don't eat there often because of that, although the food is good enough to have on occasion. Spent just under $100.00 this week on take out and threw it in the trash. It was absolutely disgusting.
