An Unforgettable Experience That Exceeded All Expectations
We recently held our wedding at The Muskoka Foundry in Bracebridge, and I can't express how completely blown away we were by the entire experience. From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding day itself, every detail was meticulously handled, making our special day even more unforgettable.

Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner
We had our rehearsal at the venue and followed it up with dinner at their in-house restaurant, Smoking Hot BBQ. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was impeccable. Every single guest was raving about how delicious everything was.

Wedding Day Perfection
Our wedding day had multiple components, including live piano and vocals during the ceremony and cocktail hour, acoustic guitars and vocals during dinner, and a DJ afterward. The team at The Muskoka Foundry ensured that everything ran seamlessly, which is quite an accomplishment given the complexity of our setup.

Exceptional Food
We faced some challenges leading up to the wedding, including losing our original food vendor. Scott and his team stepped in, not only accommodating our original menu but also exceeding our culinary expectations—all within just a few weeks' notice.

Stunning Venue
The Muskoka Foundry is a non-traditional venue set in a repurposed factory, complete with exposed brick, metal beams, and large windows that flood the space with natural light. The ambience was charming, unique, and absolutely beautiful.

The building is spacious, beautiful, and well decorated. The staff are lovely, there is a decent craft beer selection (a little too heavy on the light beers - some redundancy between brands), and having Smokin Hot on site makes it the perfect event space. You must go!

I booked the Foundry for our wedding on June 17th. We met with Scott, the owner, almost a year prior and had the privilege of learning the history of the venue. It was great to be able to host our ceremony, dinner, and dancing space, all in one building. The wall of iron press molds has to be my favourite part of the massive talking piece that is the ENTIRE venue. We had communication constantly through the months leading to our event to discuss logistics and Scott gave us his professional opinion (which we desperately needed, as we were the first of our friends/ siblings to get married). We booked our own food and had a pre-arranged agreement to do half open bar and half paid bar, which was just fine and worked well for us. I have not heard a single bad thing from our guests. From the vintage truck, to the 50’s style bar, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. I would absolutely come back again.

very unique and different venue that has potential BUT…

The owner has no clue what he is doing. The caterer has said they will never host here again.

The place is freezing in October, I asked multiple times for the doors to be closed which includes a huge barn door that is basically one wall. Everyone at the wedding was cold. People were putting on their jackets and still cold. The elderly were shaking in their seats with their jackets and blankets, people with babies left early. This barn door was left open because one half of the venue was open to the public and the makeshift fence to block it off didn’t completely block the view and definitely not the cold air.

The “private change room” is in the middle of the venue so you can’t do any grande entrances if that’s what you want. It’s also not a room that you would want to get ready in as a bridal party.

The next morning, we had to clean up the dishes that the foundry provided because they just left them out on the tables where we had to disassemble our centre pieces.

The chairs and covers for the reception were already put out the day before the wedding and the foundry had live music on so the public used the reception chairs - luckily they weren’t covered in food because of this.
