I honestly can’t say enough good things about my stay at the Muskoka BeerSpa. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a little slice of cottage-country heaven. The vibe is super laid-back, but you can tell everything has been thoughtfully designed to make guests feel totally at ease.

The cabin was spotless, cozy, and had that perfect rustic-meets-modern feel. I loved that you could wander around in your robe just hopping between pools and lounging areas. It never felt crowded or rushed—just super chill and fun. The staff were all so friendly and made us feel really welcome.

We grabbed lunch from the brewery and the food was amazing!!! And of course, the beer was top-notch. We tried a bunch of different styles and even picked up a few to bring home.

I also loved the little details—great music, hammocks strung between trees...it was like all my favourite parts of a cottage weekend rolled into one.

If you’re looking for a unique and memorable getaway in Muskoka, this is it. I left feeling refreshed, relaxed and already planning my next trip back. 10/10 recommend!

I’ve always had the best experience at the BeerSpa!! The staff, the atmosphere, and the experience has always been exceptional. The staff really make this place amazing. Everyone is so welcoming and ready to help in any situation. The hot tubs and beach front are fantastic. Clear Lake Brewery right across the road is so convenient and has some of the best beer and wings in Muskoka. I will always recommend this place!!

Honestly, don't bother going unless it's warm weather. Dont stay the night. The cabin tub was filthy, and there were dead flies in the window sills. We hosted a party of 12, and not only did they fail to tell us about the renovations being done, we were switched to different cabins. This would have been okay if the saunas weren't broken. The lack of communication after our concerns was the icing on the cake. The only thing that made it an okay experience was the little restaurant. Smelled funky but food and staff were fantastic. Definitely don't bother with the cabin experience.
They say 2 saunas were functional but totally not true. We tried the one with the broken screen and after waiting for over an hour for it to hit even 95 degrees we gave up. I understand weather can cause issues, but the path to the only working sauna was ridiculous. It felt as though they kept information from us so they can make their money. If we had known about the changes and fixing that needed to be done while we were still eligible for a refund we would have absolutely canceled. They took that opportunity from us. SPA was a stretch more like camping in filth

This place is good, but not great. Super friendly staff, unfortunately the facilities on offer here fall short of the value of nearly $70 for a day pass per person. Although hot tubs very nice, there are only two and pool is not heated. No soft drinks, only water and alcohol on offer. Some facilities including changing rooms and seating areas feel worn and underinvested (ie very warn and dirty lake chairs). Expectations did not meet reality on this place, with much regret.

Don’t stay overnight here!!

We went with a group and the communication was so poor. Felt like more of a burden than a welcome guest. I have never wrote a negative review in my life but this experience was so mind boggling and disappointing. The only thing this place has going for them is the restaurant.. When you can’t smell the septic which was most of the time.. The live music, restaurant staff and food was amazing. 10/10 for those three items. But that’s it. Everything else was honestly terrible.

We stayed in a cabin and it was absolutely filthy. I was originally given the wrong code to get in, once that was sorted the walk through was quite… appalling. Ants everywhere. Dead flies everywhere. Didn’t even look like they tried to clean the bath tub and insulation was coming out of the ceiling and all over the floor of the one bedroom. The fridge was also in an awful state. Pretty sure there was still spilled beer in it from the previous guests. There was an alarm going off all morning that sounded like a fire alarm and when I asked someone in the front area about it they just brushed it off and was like “yeah that’s a sensor for the pool someone just needs to go and hit the button”…… I literally couldn’t sleep for hours because of it and it’s just a quick button press?

We went with a great group of friends who traveled from all over, some of whom even took flights in for this weekend so we decided instead of stressing and finding a new place just to make the best of it. However I can’t stress enough how much I would never stay here again or recommend it. Calling it a “spa” is very misleading.

We went during off season maybe it’s better in the summer? But the lack of cleanliness and hospitality would never bring me back.

To the restaurant staff, you rock! To the chef, omg your food was beyond incredible!!!! Thank you for being a positive in this experience!

Editing to add - I stayed there from March 14th - 16th and there was 100 percent ants on the main floor. I have called the main office and let them know this in fact a truthful review. I can tell you with confidence there was an alarm going off the morning of March 16th and I overheard staff talking about the st pattys day party the night before and staff staying late and cooking food setting off a fire alarm. When I asked if that’s what the alarm I heard all morning was they then informed me the alarm I was hearing was likely the pool sensor. Our cabin, Cabin 24 (we had booked cabins 23 & 24, originally cabins 3, & 4 but they were switched) backed on to where the pool and out of service sauna were.

Another edit to add I left my information with the front desk and was told they’re not sure who responds to the google reviews. No one contacted back.

Definitely will NOT return.
The cabins were so dirty!!! Spiderwebs everywhere. The floor was gross. The walls full of stuff that could easily be wiped off.
The baseboard heating didn’t work in a couple of the rooms.
None of the saunas worked. The polar plunge was a “smash your own hole in the frozen lake”! The fire pit is tiny with 8 chairs that had 2 ft of snow on them that we had to clear ourselves. The wood was covered in snow. The service was terrible! They clearly didn’t care. The fridge was only equipped for a beer keg. No shelves to actually put food in.
The restaurant did have good food and excellent service but it was freezing in there. We would have stayed longer but it was too cold.
Considering the price we paid for 2 nights, it was a waste of money.
