This review is for the pond/ it was once a thriving ecosystem with almost all Southern Ontario Birds species including Kingfishers four types of heroin owls red tail Hawks cooper hawks peregrine falcons Cardinals Baltimore Orioles Goldfinch waxwings Blue Jays grackle janko's Red Wing blackbirds Cameron's geese ducks including wood duck the odd white swan Robbins hummingbirds seagulls mourning doves sparrows crows northern mockingbird chickadees woodpeckers including redhead woodpecker the pond had a variety of fish species including Pike Bass perch sunfish catfish koi minnows and a variety of large Turtles and small turtles which would lay their eggs all around loafers Lake Park up the hills around the soccer fields they did not need human intervention they have been thriving since 1982 so why did the city and the conservation Authority together destroy this beautiful ecosystem in the city it now looks like a Eastern European war zone the pond was a storm retention pond why would the engineers decide to lower its volume capacity while the city is growing north of us smaller pond smaller volume when the creek overflows water will follow topography and wash the silly Turtle Beach away and the footpath over and over again I think the sign in front of the rec center should be changed to show the new pond and the picture on this website should also be changed to show the new disaster they've cut down perfectly good trees and left some of the invasive species up I could go on all day but I better stop now you've destroyed our pond and turtles do not need human intervention humans are great at destroying nature the trail is rerouted to go up the hill were the children play at the splash pad and then down the hill where the seniors walk creating a major hazard with all these new electric bikes and scooters that fly up and down the hill at 40 km an hour I was walking there the other day and I got flew by me on a scooter startling me before they would be able to stay at the bottom to travel now it's a major hazard just a very sad and upset resident goodbye

What a great place for your recreation needs. Amazing staff , very polite and courteous. Facilities are amazing, spotless clean and very well managed, lots of signs and directions for you not to get lost. Lots of locker rooms in gym as well as in swimming pool. Very impressed with the way this facility is managed

I had an amazing experience with Shania, the front desk receptionist, when my family and I came in to inquire about renting a space. She was incredibly patient and took the time to break down all the pricing options for us. She also gave us thorough tours of each room and went over availability in detail. The entire process was so easy, thanks to her outstanding customer service. I will be booking the space just because of how helpful and professional she was plus the room rates are great.

Great location, and I will definitely be booking here again!

Thank you, Shania!

Amazing Rec Centre, all you need. Been coming here since I was a kid, although the name change is pretty different, the overall facility is splendid. Everything is so clean and maintained.

I would not recommend anyone to choose Paul Palleschi Recreation!! The security is non-existent, and the management shows no concerns to their victim.

There is a thief or theives that have been breaking into lockers and stealing car keys, credit cards, and IDs.

If your safety or security of your personal belonging is your priority, then I suggest you go somewhere else because you're not safe at this recreational center, and they don't care about it either.

I recommend victims to report it to the police and leave a 1 Star review for this inconsiderate management team and business.

Wonderful facility for a nice walk in the park around the lake or a short trail hunting. Dont miss the Blossoms. Place is beautiful in spring. Dog friendly, washroom and ample spots for Parking. Park connects to Sandlewood on South and Snail Park on North via Conservation Drive Park.

Fitness centre is small. However, they have the equipment I personally need for working out. They also have a room with mirrors, that I would best describe as a dance studio. It just gives me those vibes. From my recollection, it had resistance bands, stationary bikes and straight bar with rubber weights. There is more equipment in there, but I really just took a quick glance in there. In addition to that, they have two racquet (squash) ball courts. Lastly, in the men’s change room, there are lockers, a washroom, showers (believe there’s 3) and a sauna.

A big plus, is that this place doesn’t get as crowded as Cassie Campbell Community Centre (although I like it there too). So, if you’re introverted or don’t like working out with tons of people, this is the place for you!
