I worked at Movati for 18 years and its current state is the worst it has ever been. It is run from afar by people who only care about lining their pockets. It’s sad because the staff in the building when I worked there were some of the sweetest people you will ever meet who are being paid sad wage to convince you to invest by being a member when the company itself doesn’t invest back into the Brantford club especially. They continue to raise prices to build new clubs but not to care for the ones they already have. They spend more time sitting you on calls about how to please members and provide an experience then they do allowing you to actually create that experience. It’s a big greedy corporation that people will continue to be a member of because of the people inside the building (instructors, trainers, front desk, custodial and maintenance) Those people are the people who make Movati what it is and upper management couldn’t care less about them.

Been a member for many years and tried many classes. Never regretted my choice. Instructors are well qualified and suggest options for any problems or discomfort you may encounter. The club is very nicely maintained, the staff is very helpful with any concerns you may have. There are rules, and they are for everyone's benefit and keep things running smoothly. The bonus comes in the winter, when I can use the pool classes and other exercise classes for variety, health benefits and enjoyment!

NOT WORTH IT. I just joined Movati after getting a recommendation from a family member. So far, I’ve been turned away twice from classes I signed up for, the first one was hot yoga at 7pm, I showed up at 7:02 and the door was locked and she wouldn’t even address me when I waved. Okay, I can understand wanting to keep the vibe of the quiet yoga so I left. I signed up again for an aqua Bootcamp, arrive on deck at 6:31 for the 6:30 class, the instructor watched me rinse off and then said “oh sorry you’re late! I cant let you go into the pool” like give me a break. Traffic is so unpredictable and even when I left my house 20 minutes earlier I was still stuck. They can’t even give people a 5 minute grace period? And when I called to complain, the guy acted so incredibly uninterested in what I was saying and just kept repeating “it’s our policy, you should show up 5 minutes before class” no where does it mention needing to be there 5 minutes early or anything about a “late policy”. For the hefty monthly price I expected more from this gym. Half the equipment is outdated and the staff aren’t helpful at all. After reading all these negative reviews I wish I hadn’t signed up. And the fact that nobody from the gym answers the reviews just shows how much they care about their clients. Pathetic.
