I've been going to Elegant Nails (previously magic nails) for 14 years and I've had good, bad and great experiences.
Mostly they have been really good experiences though. Jenn is very talented and always does a great job in achieving the look I want that day.
The ladies doing pedicures always do a great job. I just wish the massage part lasted a little longer lol

I've had great experiences with all of the employees at this establishment, except Anna.
I've had 4-5 appts with her and 3 were really not good, and 2 were just okay, so it's not like it's a one strike and out situation.

There's been a few times that one of the nail extensions are crooked after shaping (it happens, no big deal, I've had MANY nail technicians fix it easily when it happens) but when I've tried addressing a crooked extension with Anna, she's argued with me, she's blamed the way my nail must grow, she's told me that there's no way to fix it, she's told me she'd have to take the whole nail off and charge me for a nail repair, and has even handed me the nail file and told me to fix it myself (twice!).😐
The last time the nails were so thick and clubbed that they needed to be completely removed for my next fill appointment.

So after three of these unfortunate encounters with her out of 4-5 times that she's done my nail service, I just make sure when I book now that I ask to "not be booked with Anna".
Pedicures are always great. Designs are always nice, the place is pretty clean and nicely decorated. I now take my daughter's there and they've always had positive experiences. The employees have always been very kind to my daughter's.
I would highly recommend this business for your nail needs!

Elegant Nails is simply excellent. The staff are lovely and efficient. The prices are more than fair. The work is excellent. Not only do I bring my kids here, but I too come for pedicures (yes, folks, men can - and should - get pedicures). Highly recommend.

Typical, dirty nail salon that expects you to pay for poor services and terrible worker attitudes. Appointment started off okay, staff gave us a friendly greeting. My mom, sister, niece and I were all getting pedicures. They start seating us and noticed one of the foot spas water wasn’t getting hot, so they moved me to the end. No big deal. I let them know the water was ice cold in this one too, to not one but two employees and was ignored both times. Other family members were already well into their pedicures so I figured I would just let them know I should receive a discount for the water situation at the end of the appointment. Honestly, who wants a pedicure in freezing cold water, IN THE WINTER, IN CANADA? When I brought this to their attention the main lady got all spastic, and started yelling at the one cashing me out in their language which resulted in me getting a “$5 discount” that she clearly wasn’t happy to give. However, IT WASN’T A DISCOUNT! Because all they did is charge me an extra $5.85 “for taxes” because I was using my debit card. I know all nail salons in Brantford do this but I still don’t think it’s right. And I definitely don’t think it’s right they weren’t willing to resolve the issue I had with their poor service. I didn’t even get to tell them how poorly the employee did on my actual pedicure. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Unless you want fast, cheap, dirty results.

They do good work. I've been there a handful of times when I come to Brantford. There's one employee, Ann or Anna, that I've gotten and didn't particularly enjoy the experience or the outcome of my nails.
She made me bleed on 4 different fingers and kept telling me that what she did for my nails was exactly like the photo I was showing her that I wanted, but it wasn't even close. Not the shape, not the color. It wasn't anything difficult, there were no designs or jewels or anything. But when I said they don't look like the photo at all, she argued with me saying that yes, it's exactly like the photo. I wish I had taken photos at that time. But anyone else I've received service from there were just fine. I was there more when it was magic nails and once since it was elegant nails.

They always do an amazing job on my nails! I came early for my appointment and they got me straight in! I only paid $55 dollars for this, it’s amazing! Thank you so much keep up the great work!!

One of my favourite nail places, they do really good designs and shaping. However the girl cut my cuticles too much on my thumb making it bleed, other then that a good experience

Update! Last time I went they went they were much more gentle! Definitely has the best pricing too.

Went to this place because it’s close to home. The same day I got a full, my color chipped on 3 nails. I did call and they did say to come back.. but I was to busy.

I started looking closer at my nails, and the filing is actually crooked on 4 nails ..looks crooked because of the shaping that was done.
Really disappointed because I don’t believe I’ve ever had this issue anywhere..

The absolute most amazing nail salon in Brantford. I have been many places in Brantford to get my nails done but this one is a winner for customer service and a wonderful manicure. Every time I go to this salon I always feel welcomed. I have been going here for about two years and the ladies working there already know me by name and are quick to have me seated once I come in. I get an eyebrow wax and a bio-gel manicure bi-weekly on a consistent basis and this is the only place that I would recommend going!
