This is a beautiful property. Feels very secluded and away from the road, so it's nice and quiet. There is also a fire pit available for guests to use which was lovely.
The house feels spacious, with four rooms on the ground floor and four rooms upstairs. There are also "public" bathrooms on each floor, in addition to the individual full bathrooms in each room. The screened in deck is fabulous!

Breakfast in the morning (from 0800h - 1000h) was delicious! And it was nice chatting with Brian and Laura, as well as some of the other guests while enjoying breakfast at our individual tables. Despite check out being at 1000h, we appreciated that we didn't feel pushed out, despite us leaving a little after 1000h.

Overall we would definitely recommend staying here.

Our family reunion had 18 of us using the 8 rooms along with the 2 futon mattresses for the kids and a blow up air mattress we brought ourselves. We were so pleased with the accommodations. Cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful surroundings (babbling brook nearby). Owners are lovely and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. Also property is located close to Port Hood (which houses some of my favorite beaches in Cape Breton). A gem of a spot. We really hope that if the property sells the new owners will continue to run it in this manner so that we will be able to hold another family reunion there again one day in the not too distant future!

If I could’ve stayed here everyday during my trip I would’ve! This place and the hosts were so welcoming treating you like family!

I had booked an Airbnb initially and due to the lack of power in some areas I had booked this place instead. The rooms and accommodations were lovely. Breakfast were such thoughtful baked quiches and hash browns. Hosts were lovely and can’t recommend this place enough!

Inn at the Intervale is a real find - a beautiful unique property with lots of character (right down to the babbling brook running under our window) without compromising on comfort and cleanliness. Modern bathrooms, super comfortable beds, delicious breakfast and even use of the kitchen if you want it. Our hosts, Brian and Laura, were lovely and helpful and very gracious about answering our many questions about the property and the area. This was our favourite place to stay on our trip to Cape Breton and we will be back! The location is great too, perfect for day trips to Inverness, Port Hood, Mabou, Baddeck, Isle Madame, or St. Peters.

Thoroughly enjoyed our brief but lovely stay. Room was very cozy and clean, the bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent with a nice stream running nearby and a path you could take down to it. The owners were very lovely people and made an excellent breakfast in the morning. This was our first, but is definitely not the last time we will stay at the inn. Would definitely recommend!!!Thank you Brian and Laura!

This place is rustic and cozy. It has lovely decorations that make you feel welcome and comfortable. Our room had 3 windows creating a lovely breeze. The bathroom was immaculately clean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful with lots of options for vegetarians like me!

What a wonderful destination!! We booked the whole Inn and it didn’t disappoint. Multiple adults and kids, the space accommodated us very well. The rooms were bigger than the pictures are able to depict, great cross breeze from the bedroom windows and it was nice to hear the river at night from the back bedrooms. The kids had a space upstairs to hang out but they also took advantage of the green space outside. The adults enjoyed the screened in deck and dining space for cards.

Thanks to Brian and Laura we felt like we had a home away from home!!
