We just returned from Morning Mist and had such a wonderful time that we did not want to leave! The cottage is stunning, cozy and comfortable. Every inch, both inside and out, is beautifully decorated with an incredible ambience. The wrap around deck is gorgeous with an outstanding view and has an amazing propane fireplace on one side and a huge outdoor table on the other. Both were wonderful! The lake was lovely. Our family had so much fun swimming, canoeing, roasting marshmallows and enjoying a memorable family vacation that we will cherish forever. It was absolute paradise and we would love to come back!

An absolutely wonderful cottage and property. The owner had everything we would need for the weekend along with a beautiful welcome basket. Just needed to bring our food and clothing and we were all set. My husband and I enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the cottage & land. And the town of Shelburne was very quaint and friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Pauline who was very gracious and informative. Definitely recommend Morning Mist and would visit again!

My family and I spent one week at this cottage and was not impressed. Broken mirror, broken sliding door, light hanging by wire, old outdoor furniture, no propane for BBQ, unsafe dock etc although a nice view and spacious this property is not worth the money we spent. Contacted the owner for a partial refund thought we could have a reasonable conversation unfortunately she was condescending and refused. We own a cottage in muskoka and it would be acceptable to change that amouny for quality but here with the dollar soaps and hard beds...not worth it

We were finally able to return to Morning Mist cottage (coming from Ontario) after a few years of not being able to make the trip. The renovations that have been done are amazing. The main cottage has been updated and modernized while still maintaining a rustic vibe. The property itself is very calm, private and secluded right on the lake - truly a retreat to nature in itself with all amenities provided including canoes for exploring the lake. If you choose to sleep in the bunkhouse (which has a large bed plus a bunkbed) you can wake you to a beautiful view of the lake through the sliding doors. The cottage really lives up to it's name in the mornings with a beautiful mist over the water. Fun for adults and kids of all ages, I highly recommend coming here for as long a visit as you are able!

This is more than a cottage, it is a true retreat! A quiet and beautiful lake front location, yet close to Shelburne. All of the amenities were there to allow us to enjoy the full cottage experience- canoes and kayak, fire pit, chairs for relaxing inside and out, as well as modern conveniences like cable TV and reliable wifi. No detail was overlooked- from beautiful patio lighting outside, a fully stocked kitchen including a popcorn maker and corn to put in it, mats for walking out from the dock to go swimming, lots of dry wood for the fire, etc etc. The place was exceptionally clean, and the beds were dreamy with plenty of extra linens and towels. Pauline was wonderfully helpful from start to finish, and responded to all of our concerns and requests. I would recommend this place to any family looking to make memories together!

Morning mist cottage located on beautiful lake description is absolutely stunning,lots of gorgeous renovation and lots of extras to enjoy including Kayaks Canoes A beautiful yoga deck and sauna there is a wood fire pit and a propane firpit that are also very wonderful to enjoy.||I definitely would recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a nice relaxing vacation with friends or family or even for a business trip. The pictures I will include does not do it justice and you should definitely see it for your self.

Pauline was amazing to deal with on our short notice booking! The property is perfect to relax and recharge no matter the weather; the lake, jacuzzi tub, fire places and sauna leave you no choice!||Dog friendly and ours enjoyed every inch of the property also! We all cannot wait to return!

We were looking for a hideaway to relax and enjoy nature. What we found at Pauline Morning Mist was so much more. She created a dream place. Stunning. Such a remarkable piece of earth. The perfect canadian cottage at a totally quiet lake. No further comments needed.
