Anthony and Roger are the best hosts, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the door. Their pre-stay communication was so very helpful in us planning our stay to Cape Breton that we extended our stay in Sydney from 1 to 3 days. They have worked hard to create an environment that is both comfortable and welcoming in all areas of their home. From the beautifully appointed room (and its grand soaker tub complete with locally acquired luxury bath amenities) to the deliciously prepared breakfasts of freshly baked treats and fulfilling meal, Glenngale Manor was the beginning of our Cape Breton trip and remains to be our favourite of all home away from home stops along the way.

Our stay at Glenngale Manor was the highlight accommodation of our two week trip to Nova Scotia. |Right from the start, Anthony and Roger were phenomenal hosts. Communicative, kind and helpful. |Their place is stunning and cozy. We spent a lot of time exploring Sydney and the surrounding area but also enjoyed some downtime in their living spaces. We didn't want to leave!|We were fed beautiful, filling breakfasts, had access to tea and coffee all day and the fresh cookies and lemonade were such a nice treat. Our bedroom was well appointed with fabulous linens and fresh water, and our bathroom had the an extravagant soaker tub complete with bath bombs and salts.|Thank you Anthony and Roger for a truly wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back!

This is one of the most beautiful boutique bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in. No detail has been missed. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were impeccably clean. We received new towels and fresh water in our room every day. The house is beautifully decorated and it smells amazing. There is always fresh baking in the house. Roger and Anthony were so thoughtful. They lent us umbrellas for a rainy day, gave us restaurant recommendations and even prepared breakfast-to-go when we had to leave at 2:30am to catch a flight. This place is a gem in Sydney. We would certainly return.

Roger and Anthony set a standard that will be difficult to surpass. Our stay at Glenngale Manor made our trip to Cape Breton amazing. So many thoughtful touches: from their personable and helpful demeanour to their carefully curated and beautifully decorated home, the delicious and filling breakfasts and spotlessly clean rooms, with many little things that made us feel pampered (beautiful linens, thick towels changed daily, comfortable beds, lovely toiletries, fresh drinking water, etc.). A guest who was there at the same time said, I would come back here just for a personal retreat. We would agree.

This was the most delightful stay we had in our three week Canadian, Fall Foliage road trip! Our hosts were magnificent, they treated us to large delicious breakfast spreads every morning, all home made and delicious! The remodeled Victorian home was outfitted with every possible convenience. Our rooms were thoughtfully appointed with comfy beds, plenty of modern outlets, great lighting and quiet heating. They even set up dinner reservations at a wonderful local seafood restaurant where we were treated like royalty! We all agreed that this was our favorite stay and also the best value! The Fairmont Frontenac in Quebec didn't even come close to the standards of Glenngale Manor!

My elderly parents & I recently stayed at GlennGale Manor during a family reunion. The ambiance of the B&B is spectacular! It is located <6km (round trip) from the 'Big Fiddle' at Sydney Harbour. Our breakfasts were well plated, delicious and sizeable in portions - we NEVER left on an empty stomach! The hosts (Anthony & Roger) were very friendly and accommodating to us all. We plan to return and highly recommend this B&B.

You cannot go wrong booking a stay at the GlenGale Manor. This was the best bed and breakfast we stayed in during our two week vacation. Anthony and Roger are fantastic hosts and an absolute delight to get to know.
They had delicious peanut butter cooks fresh out of the oven upon our arrival. Their home is beautifully renovated and decorated. Every room is immaculate and beautifully furnished. Small touches everywhere from a night light in the bathroom, water for drinking in our room, to lined dresser drawers. No detail is overlooked.
The breakfasts they provided were delicious and so much thought put into them. Their homemade baked loaves, especially the banana loaf, were such a nice touch. They even sent a few slices with us on our last day driving back to the Halifax airport.
They have a beautiful deck with plenty of seating areas that we would have loved to spend more time on. They truly try to make your stay with them memorable. We wish we could have stayed a few extra nights.
Thanks again for everything Anthony and Roger. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and perhaps we will get to visit again ourselves.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at the GlennGale Manor Boutique B&B in August. This renovated house on a lovely quiet street is an outstanding place to stay in Sydney. The decor is stunning, the beds are very comfortable, the cooked breakfasts with lots of fruit are delicious, and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful. We visit Sydney annually and this will definitely be our go-to place to stay.
