We had a horrible stay at this hotel! We checked in at 2 AM from an 8-hour drive from Alberta to BC. We chose this hotel to take a break from a long drive. We usually don't complain, but is place is sneaky. They gave us a room that has a broken air conditioner. We also passed by a room that was open because the guests had the same problem. There is no hotel assistance after business hours. You have to ring the buzzer (Intercom on the wall), and they can't even help you. We have 2 little kids who kept crying because the room is so hot! After about an hour of agony, my wife and I decided to sleep in the car instead. We don't want to disturb their other guests. So, I called the guy on the INTERCOM and said Bali (Manager) is going to be there at 7 AM. We waited in the car until 7 AM but no one is at the front desk except the housekeeper. She told me that the manager would arrive in the afternoon, but the restaurant person can help me she said to wait until 8AM. Waited until 8AM and spoke to that person and she told me to wait in the afternoon. So, we have decided not to stay and just continue driving instead of wasting our time. We asked for a refund but they insist to give it back due to Covid Another lame excuse!||||So, blah blah blah.. they finally give us some refund but not the full amount. Avoid staying in the place!||||This hotel will take a 1-star review for $92.92, so cheap that they can't afford to fix their AC. And, I feel like they have bed bugs because we were scratching when we were on the bed. Lastly, they don't care about the review anyways.

We stayed here in August 2022, this motel is very run down, the shower either has too much hot water or cold water, no in-between, easy to get burned, its a very old motel and nothing works. The A/C was not working, poor internet, and the walls are very thin, difficult to sleep due to the noise levels. This motel needs a lot of upgrading to do.||We will never stay here again, better to go to the next hotel close by.

The hotel was as stated. An older hotel. I am very fussy about cleanliness. We had the “treat suite”, very reasonably priced. Carpets need replacing but not a big deal. No coffee pot in the room, a bit annoying but the restaurant staff provided coffee and a friendly good morning. The food was excellent. Good down home cooking with excellent, extremely reasonable prices.

Had booked through booking.com which stated no cancellation policy. Had to cancel and wanted to confirm if the no cancellation policy was valid. Tried numerous times to phone with no answer and no answering machine. So went with the statement that booking.com stated no cancellation policy. Got charged cancellation fee Upon receiving my credit card statement I finally managed to get ahold of someone, who stated I should have kept trying to call. Seriously!! Stated they do charge a cancellation because it is high season and they have the pipeline working in the area and are very busy., Then they should have corrected the online booking!! Glad I did not stay there from reading previous reviews!

I always give a hotel at least one shot and for our trip this was the cheapest for the time that we were there. It is an extremely Budget Hotel with old tattered carpet and bathroom fixtures. The rooms are exceptionally small and seem to be equipped differently from room to room as my partner had a microwave and coffee maker in his room but I did not. My bed seemed to be brand new and was quite comfortable although the pillows seem to be a mixed match from somewhere else. I had reserved online but it did not show up on their system so make sure to call and make sure that your reservation is confirmed and you save your confirmation number. I quite often judge housekeeping by what's underneath the bed and in this hotel there was some dirty towels and a jar of mayonnaise! You can probably assume what the towels were used for... if I have to work in this town again I will try somewhere different next time and maybe spend a couple extra dollars. The breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel was very good though.

Let me paint you a picture. We were a group of four adults and one of our group has this desire to stay in a creeky roadside motel with a flickering sign. Can you imagine it? This place did not disappoint.||||It was generally fine. Stained sheets and dodgy carpet with walls as thin as paper, but it is what we signed up for.||||The food at this place is OUTSTANDING.

Breakfast. The service is very friendly but very slow. That would be ok if the food was great but the eggs weren't done the way we asked and the bacon was deep fried and tasted horrible. The cubed potatoes were also deep fried and also tasted bla. After waiting almost 50 minutes for breakfast, we weren't impressed. If the owner is reading this, hire more than one waitress to work the busy mornings and stop deep frying everything, its horrible.

Was forced to stay in Barriere due to a traffic accident closing the highway. Very cramped room and the TV remote didn't work well. Was clean and the beds were comfortable at least. It did have reliable wi-fi though which was nice.
