We stayed at the Windy Lake Motel last month before leaving on the train for the Spanish River the next day. There where six of us and we stayed in the three bedroom suite on the second floor.

Not much to say except it was perfect and had everything we needed, in fact it was much better than any previous motel/hotel we stayed in before. Need to mention how nice and accommodating the staff are, making it a very pleasant experience.

Also, the restaurant was also perfect. We had amazing home made burgers and the fries were great too! All in all it was fantastic to stay here, and we will be back next September 2025, looking forward to it.

We had a family event here, the building is a little outdated but still welcoming. The food however was amazing we needed a large amount of pizza to feed our guests and they did not disappoint.

They brought out 3 pizzas to start, when one was gone they would bring out another as long as the pizza was being eaten more would show up. This made sure that the pizza was hot and delicious every slice you grabbed.

This is a nice stop along the road with a small restaurant and pleasant service. You will always find a local with stories to share. The rooms are very dated but everything you need is there and very clean. The downfall is the bed. Our bed sunk in the middle and had old, thin, and unfitted sheets. A small update here and it would be an excellent rest and restorative sleep. I would like to return but need the bed situation fixed. The service was kind and helpful.

Had to stay here unexpectedly due to a highway closure and fatal accident. Wasn’t super happy but made the best of it. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and the food was fantastic. I had the fish and chips and wife had the chicken fingers! Accepting of dogs as well! Would stay here again for sure

For what it is, it's great. It's cheap, clean, hot water, restaurant, gas, allows pets, and starlinnk.. There was no AC in our room, and there was a train track a short distance away. This is not he Ritz,, but for the price and location, its tough to beat. Staff is nice and helpful. Also has very good hours depending on the season.

Coffee is terrible, though. Wish it could be better because if you are heading north, if you don't get Tim's , in chelmsford it's an hour and a half to the watershed.

The beds could use an update or at least extra pillows - found them a little springy but still a decent for a good night's sleep and the room had everything that was needed, very affordable especially for last minute stops, took reso over the phone in 2 minutes

Onaping area is gorgeous for viewing the autumn colours and quick lake/walking trail access. This little gem has a restaurant attached with convenient hours for early starts and late departs.

The service was great,
Also got some freebie reading material and a calendar... Would definitely visit again

Had a party in the back room (38 people), it was great food (pan fried pickerel), friendly servers, and efficient service. The coconut cream pie was delicious and the slices were generous. Minutes from the beach at windy lake!
