Sweet little spot in Chilliwack for our book club meeting . South Sumas Bistro is little hidden gem in the Valley & totally worth the drive. You won’t be disappointed! Outstanding service and food. I had the avocado toast with house made hollandaise, wedge fries, bacon & salad. Yummy ! Decaf latte with house made hazelnut syrup. This place was bustling, we got there early at 9:30 and sat right down, but it filled up quite quickly as there are not many tables. Our server was very attentive and didn’t miss a beat. This place had a great vibe and we will definitely be back!

Tried a cinnamon pancake and it was really good also

I recently visited South Sumas Bistro for brunch, and it was an excellent experience! The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend their Caprese omelette, tomato soup, Shakshuka, and cinnamon pancakes. Each dish was unbelievably good and served in generous portions.

The server was extremely polite and attentive, which added to the overall great experience. Their lattes and cappuccinos were absolutely outstanding, and I will definitely be returning for them.

However, I was disappointed with the drip coffee. It was below average and tasted like cheap coffee. I hope the restaurant considers using higher-quality beans for their drip coffee in the future, as we enjoy it and would love to see it match the high standards of their other drinks.

Overall, this is one of my favorite brunch spots, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal and friendly atmosphere! 👌🏻

The food was excellent and the service was awesome! I ordered the avocado toast with added smoked salmon. It was totally worth the drive from Vancouver. I’ll definitely come again.

We love this little bistro. We have gone 3 times and each time the food is delicious, and the staff are lovely. Price point is more than reasonable. Definite favourite of ours for breakfast/brunch in the Chilliwack area.

Recently visited for the first time and was charmed by the outdoor patio. Order the French toast and eggs Benny. Both were excellent. Eggs were poached to perfection and the fries had a nice crispy exterior with a soft interior. Finished off with mimosa flight for a the perfect afternoon brunch.

I've had a good experience at this restaurant both times that I've been. Service and food have been consistent.

My only gripe is that the menu is oddly reminiscent of The Little Beetle Bistro that was the previous restaurant in this location. I would've loved to see ownership make the menu their own.

Amazing service and outstanding food with options for absolutely everyone. I love breakfast and it’s very hard to find a place that accommodates a vegan / non vegan group. My fried chicken french toast was delish and could cut through the chicken with a fork, garlic aoili was an awesome addition. The vegan fusilli was a great base but lacked in flavour and needed a little bit more. The portion was huge but we found it quite bland. Next time we would add the chipotle or garlic sauce on the side to add more flavour. I think a bread accompaniment would compliment the dish wonders, maybe a blacked cajun tofu…. +1 for the beautiful water cups
