Called to book a room here as our home was being fumigated for pharaoh ants and silverfish. Contacted them through booking.com messaging and asked if we could check in early and also why the 68 dollar price changed to 128 upon check out. They told me it was booking.com problem, completely ignored my question about checking in then demanded a 100 dollar deposit for the room. It was for my mother in law, 3 year old and wife.. I mean why on earth do they need an extra 150 dollars for a 24 hour stay? I found out later the 50 dollars extra on check out was for cleaning fee. Seriously? 50 dollar fee on a 68 dollar room?

Called to cancel 24 hours later, they told me to go to booking.com, booking.com told me I have to speak to them. Went back and forth a few times and when booking.com tried to call them to get the money refunded, they hung up on them. Complete waste of time and energy. Very rude also.

This place is in the middle of Surrey suburbia - no stores or restaurants or anything (except houses ) for 7-10 blocks in any direction. But that is not the real issue. the owner claimed to have not been paid by Booking.com and demanded I pay them an additional $100 I thought Booking.com or Visa had made a mistake - so I checked and discovered the owner HAD been paid.

During my stay the smoke alarms' going off, guests (road crew from Highway construction close by) very noisy, drunk swearing loudly at 11.30 pm at night. The owner did not respond to my texts alerting them to what was going on. The stay was disaster for me and 3.5 hours sleep I had to get up to take a scheduled business meeting.

I cannot understand the high ratings for this place. I work in digital marketing and wonder have they 'stuffed' their reviews. The place is a mansion converted into suites.

I have travelled a lot and I have to think hard to recall a stay that better exemplified 'Owner does not care about anything but money. The tried to double charge me so WATCH OUT!!

Charged 59 over for the room, upon arrival room was still dirty but it was way to late for me to leave as I was driving all day. Deposit also wasn’t returned and it’s been nearly a week. Smoke detector was beeping as well all night, and rooms were freezing cold.

Overall just avoid this place

Avoid at ALL COSTS!! Owner probably paid for reviews to make it look like this place is desirable. They are the worst to deal with and will not give them my business again!

The Sun Suite has a very easily & accessible location as it is close to a skytrain station and a few bus loops. Enjoyed my time at the suite and hope to book again.

My stay was great! The house is beautiful and the room is very clean. The owners replied actively and there was no disturbance. I have stayed there so many times and will go again
