Why husband and I and our two young children (and dog!) had the pleasure of staying in one of the newly renovated rooms at this Sandman for 3 weeks while my husband was there for work. The size of the 1 bedroom suite was very spacious for the 4 of us, it did not feel crowded even with all the kids’ things everywhere. The pictures on the website don’t do it justice. The staff were always friendly and helpful, the restaurant had great food, kitchen stocked with pretty much everything we needed, brand new laundry LG front loaders, and the location was perfect for what we needed. Our room faced opposite the busy road and was covered in trees, so it was quiet and private even with the curtains open at night. For the price of this location, you really can’t go wrong. Only downside was that the new renos didn’t include a bathtub, which would have been nice for the kiddos. Regardless, we would love to have the opportunity to stay here again next time we’re in Vancouver.

The glory days are behind this hotel. The moxies is gone, the building is getting old and desperately needs a renovation. The exterior is an eye sore of a rotting frame. The balcony glass is grimy, the paint is peeling off….. but, the rooms are all suites and they can be had for a cheap price. It’s pretty clear Sandman has given up on this location.

Great place. Location, amenities, and staff are excellent. Enjoyed our stay. Having an on suite washer/dryer is an added comfort.

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at.|Most of the staff is unresponsive, rude, and lazy.|There was rarely any "breakfast" available - sometimes not even coffee and when they did put out "breakfast" you could tell it was days old muffins.|The let children and children's sports team run rampage around the hotel even when you call to complain.|The utilities didn't work - washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. |The construction has been going on for over a year and is loud and intrusive. |The parking situation is horrible. |And the whole hotel smells.

Very poor service at Sandman Hotel, If I could rate it negative I would. Customer service is terrible. They don’t help you with anything. The room is nice but everything else sucks.

The check in process was quick and efficient, with Alexa. The suite I stayed in was spacious, and included dishwasher, clothes washer, and dryer. Everything I needed for my stay. Would stay again.

Was in Surrey for a 2 day work course. Room was very clean and comfortable, free upgrade to the penthouse floor which was nice. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous during check in and check out. (2 thumbs up to Abner for a smooth check in and Front Desk Manager Mary Rose (I think) for the pleasant check out!). Only thing I wish the hotel had was a pool and hot tub and its a bit noisy outside due to traffic, (no control over that) but otherwise it was an excellent stay hope to be back again someday!

Amazing, and so clean. Staff and management are very friendly. I will choose this place over and over. Thank you to the person responsible for offering this clean and fine establishment. Food at the restaurant was so tasty. 😋 oh, the rooms are full suits. Nice touch. Includes laundry and kitchen in the rooms. Wowzers folks.
