Excellent food and service by Tianna! We started with the vegetarian egg rolls, and had the chicken club sandwich and shrimp fajitas. I highly recommend checking this place out. We sat on the patio near the gate so we could tie our dog up (though dogs are not allowed inside the patio). Beautiful interior. Very clean and modern.

The versatile, classic decor means that whether stopping here for lunch in your work clothes or looking for a date night with your special someone, you won't be out of place here.
My server was a bit inattentive, but I noticed she seemed to be the exception. The garden salad with grilled chicken was ample and of the freshest ingredients. A treat of turtle cheesecake and coffee made lunch a celebration. I wished I had time to come back and try their other tempting desserts.

Had the pleasure of visiting the newest addition to Durham. For apps we ordered the Honey Garlic - Monster Roaster Wings & Signature Egg Rolls… the wings were cooked perfectly! Our main entrees we chose the Harvest Moon Medley (a bit spicy) and Hunter Style Chicken (chicken was not dry & the ragu was amazing). Thing to note.. everything tasted as if it was freshly made and not processed! Great job chef!! And for dessert we ordered both the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Pie (decadent) and the Molten Sticky Toffee Pudding (I’ll be ordering this again). Overall, we will definitely be coming back. The staff was amazing & the place looks great... a special shout out to our waitress, Kentaya, who was super friendly and made sure we were well taken care of despite how busy it got.

The Foundry was an amazing experience all around. Our server, Chris, did an exceptional job of serving and giving us ideas of what's best on the menu. The Parmesan Chicken platter did not disappoint. Will definitely be back.

Stopped by The Foundry 1872 for a 10 year anniversary celebration with my wife.

The food was incredible, service was fantastic, food was out in no time. I had the Whiskey Bacon Burger, which is hands down the best burger. Our egg roll appetizer was excellent and we loved the fresh take on a classic.

Rick and Nancy even brought us out a chocolate layered cake for our special occasion.

Excellent spot . Excellent people.

Service was great but food was horrible. Fish was rubbery and small. Minimal fries that tasted musty. Not worth 24$ Chef also “forgot to make”our appetizer before bringing food out. Can’t even blame it being busy cause it wasn’t even at half capacity.

We have stopped twice at the Foundry while driving through Durham, and twice it was less than desired. The first time the service was decent, the food was OK, the chicken burger was a bit dry. The second time my husband got a pasta dish which was pretty good and I got the chicken tenders that were absolutely inedible because they were so dry. I told the waitress, she apologized and said she’d tell the guys in the back. She did not even ask if I might want something else or suggest she would comp the meal. When she brought the bill, she made small talk while my husband paid the ENTIRE bill, uneaten meal included. To not even offer to comp the meal was offensive, I wonder if staff have been told not to comp meals and therefor this makes the establishment look terrible!!! It’s unfortunate; it’s a beautiful place to stop and the atmosphere is good but beyond that… it’s not good. This place needs better attention in the kitchen, maybe focusing on meals they can make well and deliver fresh. Customer service needs to improve, whether waitress staff is friendly or not, if a meal is inedible it should definitely not be paid for.
Completely unsatisfied. Highly suggest don’t even bother to stop…

Stopped here with my husband on our way through Durham. The restaurant itself is very clean and spacious. Our server was very friendly, although we did have a bit of a wait until she came over after we were seated.

My husband had the bombshell chicken sandwich and fries which he enjoyed. I can attest to the tastiness of the fries as I may have taken one or two off his plate. I ordered the tenderloin pork with a baked potato and grilled vegetables. I would not recommend the tenderloin - it was over cooked and dry. The baked potato was very nicely done and the veggies were ok.
