This place is the best! We love it here. Always something new to try. The service was the best. Even helped well with other restaurant recommendations. This is one of our sure destinations when we travel between Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. We love it there. Can't say enough good things about it!

Loved the vibe and the delicious ciders at Island Folk Cider House. Jill the owner is so nice and hospitable, along with Angela, who works there as well. They make all ciders in house with a process that ensures it’s vegan, so that’s a plus. Only a couple of ciders have honey in them, but are listed on the menu. Rebel Rosé was my favorite! Close walk from the cruise port for any cruise goers. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Sydney in Nova Scotia!

WOW, we were really thrilled with this cute little place, located a mere 10 minute walk up from the cruise port. We had stopped at the grocery store (another 5 minutes further up the hill) and decided to walk by here and TBH the exterior didn't immediately draw us in, but thankfully we walked around to their main entrance (off to the side from the street) and found a cute little outdoor sitting area with tables and string lights. It was raining so we went inside and found a super cute place filled with a lot of local pride and just damn good vibes. Everyone was friendly and smiling, lots of comfy seating and decorations.... and most importantly delicious locally sources and brewed beverages at fair prices (16oz cider around 8.50CAD or $6USD (before taxes). We lucked out by being here for their seasonal blueberry products. They also have some local draft beers if you don't want to hike 2.5 miles each way to Breton across the bridge. Fun merch too - overall the best place we found in Sydney and left with big smiles, give this place a visit!

Great cider, great service very close to the cruise port, and you can get local beer and wine and in-house brewed cider. Great place to stop and hang with locals. There are also charcuterie boards with locally sourced delicious cheese. So you can come to one place and take all of Nova Scotia. Be sure to ask for the Cheeky Apple and tell them LCE Travel Sent you.

If you ever get to Sydney, visit the Island Folk Cider House. It was our first stop here in Sydney. We had a flight of ciders and they were all really good. After a visit to another bar with a less than nice experience, we had to go back. The staff was really sweet and helpful during our visit and again, the ciders were great. Don't miss this amazing spot!
