Ambiance très sympathique grâce à la présence d'un groupe de jazz. Toutefois, 26$ pour 6 huîtres minuscules et sans saveur, c'est insultant. La morue était bonne mais l'accompagnement très basique. Le restaurant semble surtout profiter de la renommée de son propriétaire, la cuisine était sans surprise.

This was our first time going to Luma.
Saw the pictures and decided to give it a try.

The atmosphere was pretty nice. We reserved and got there around 7PM and the main dining area was quite empty.

We got seated pretty quickly and our drinks were brought out quickly and tasted good.

We ordered a set of fries while waiting for the main course and it was really good.

We had the Salmon and Sirloin.
Both were good, tasty and had good portion.

My only gripe was that I ordered the steak as medium but I felt it was a bit undercooked.
The middle was hardly warm while the outside was.

Overall, we enjoyed the place and the waiter was great. He checked on us often and was pleasant to chat with.

Food was good- the shrimp and gnocchi stood out. The place wasn’t busy but nice interior. Good option in that area.

There was a large event in the bar area at the beginning which was loud but then the corporate group left.

We arrived early for our reservation and had a cocktail at the bar, Magic Hours was a nice surprise! Drinks were excellent, bartender was a Manchester gem. Seated, and offered another happy hour priced cocktail, and then the service got bad. We ordered from the Winterlicious menu and enjoyed every single thing that came to the table, but food came out at different times and we had to flag the waiter more than once (so awkward) to get their attention. Will return because the food and atmosphere was 100%.

I took my friend here for her 50th and we both LOVED it!!!!! I typically have bad luck at restaurants but didn’t at LUMA 🙂 This place is now at the top of my list for when I want a special dinner in Toronto. Also portions were such a pleasant surprise, as I really did expect tiny portion of food on a over sized plate, but at LUMA it was quite the opposite!
We STRONGLY recommend this place, as everything was EXCELLENT!
They even gave my friend a Birthday card signed by the team there ❤️
We visited Luma a second time this past week and it was fantastic again! The staff are so welcoming, helpful and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious again. I strongly suggest people try this restaurant over the others in that area as you won’t be disappointed. I LOVE tasty food and LUMA has perfected their dishes to make the food just that;) TOP SHELF! 😉👌

We were there for Winterlicious. The food was incredibly tasty. I ordered the mushroom soup for starter, braised beef shortrib and it was fall off the bone soft. Apple pie made fresh for sessert. The service was also great. Will go back there again and highly recommended.

Came here for winterlicious 2025 - was here before a while ago; consistent food quality and fresh ingredients; i very much enjoyed the lamb croquettes and beet salad - the beets tasted SO fresh and the sauce had a hint of mint which further accented the freshness. Beef short rib was ok, a bit dry to my liking and sauce too sweet for my personal preference, but overall still decent. I picked the apple pie for dessert and again, thought it was ok - i liked the apples were thinly sliced so it has a better texture and the pastry was flaky, almost like a croissant. I felt there was something missing in the apple pie that made it taste more “store bought” rather than “homemade” but I cant quite put my finger to what that element is. The o&b carrot cake though is always a solid choice and always delivers (i should have stuck w that tbh!). Ambiance is great here, as expected with its dt location. Overall consistent food quality and great atmosphere, but likely you have other options at this price point esp with their a la carte menu.

We went to Luna to celebrate our birthday and the experience did not disappoint! Our server, Bee, was warm, very personable and attentive. The food was excellent as well, from the appetizer to the dessert everything was delicious!
