I don’t write reviews often, but this experience absolutely deserves one.

I made my first purchase from Rocking Horse Toy Store recently—a scooter for my son—and while there was a small mix-up with the order, the way the team handled it blew me away. They didn’t just fix the issue—they went above and beyond to make things right. It’s rare these days to find customer service that’s not only responsive, but genuinely caring.

You can tell the people behind this store and all of the staff are passionate about what they do. They were kind, communicative, and made sure I felt looked after every step of the way. My son absolutely loves his new scooter, and I’ll definitely be shopping here again.

This kind of service is hard to come by, and I’m so happy I found this gem of a store.

The Rocking Horse is hands-down our favorite toy store. They have an excellent selection of top-quality toys, and the staff (Meagan and Monica) are super helpful if you have any questions. They make an effort to know you and your child by name, and can help select toys that are appropriate to your child's needs. The gift registry is an excellent option for people with family who live out of town--my parents in BC have called the story to get advice and help ordering items. I have always found the prices of their items to be very reasonable--especially for such quality toys. And it is so nice to support a local business who does so much for the community. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this toy store. They are wonderful; we are so lucky to have them here in Kingston.

The Rocking Horse is a gem in downtown Kingston. The staff are energetic and extremely well versed in all things kid. The selection is top notch and amazing. I bought christmas gift and it arrive at home with box destructed. They told me to claim to the shipper but rocking horse did a claim too. So now purolator argue that they can’t take two claims. I let u bet how much refund i received… 0$ for a gift that Santa didn’t gave…. Will never donsider this store in the futur.

I have never had such wonderful customer service! I ordered a gift for my nephew for Christmas online. I was pleasantly surprised that they actually had it in stock. It was sold-out everywhere. They called me to tell me they were going to refund me the shipping cost as I was within their free delivery area. It was delivered to my home the next day. They even went to the trouble of hiding it around the side of my house and calling to confirm I got it.
They will be my first stop next time I need to buy children's gifts.
