I’ve been dealing with Rob for over 20 years. I bought a 2014 Chevy Silverado that was written off and they did just such a wonderful job fixing it up and making it look great. After two years, I haven’t had a single issue with the truck. The biggest thing is that you can trust them. It’s hard to find a mechanical shop anywhere around that is actually there to help you. No matter what you buy they’re always on your side. The whole family is wonderful and the shop in general house very professional mechanics. If you’re looking for parts, they’ll do anything to try to find it for you and if they can’t, it probably can’t be found. Also, if you’re looking for a good used vehicle, this is the place to go what you’re gonna get for sure or something that it’s a quality product and has been through completely making sure that everything is right! Doesn’t matter where you’re from if you don’t know about Barrhead Auto Parts you need to. Absolute AAA recommendation!

Needed to replace a rear window on my 2014 Subaru Forrester. Called Steve, he had one at a good price. I came in next day, window all bubble rapped ready to go. Installed no problem. Knowledgeable, easy to work with and good product. Bonus, cost was $45 dollars less than quoted. Recommend highly.

I used to deal with Barrhead Auto daily when I was in the used auto parts business. They were ALWAYS my first call as they ALWAYS took care of me. Rob (Owner), Steve and Curtis are fantastic guys which is why I'm giving them 5 stars even though I experienced some of the worst customer service I've ever received from one of their employees last week.

I ordered a roof glass on a Durango for a family that are going through a bout of bad luck financially. In this particular employees defense, it was outsourced from a different wrecker so the glass didn't actually go through their warehouse. I could have easily went to that same wrecker directly however I will always give buddies my business first, even if I have to a pay a bit extra. With all that being said, the roof glass showed up completely destroyed. When I called this employee at Barrhead to let him know what happened, he immediately went into defense mode before I even asked if there was anything he could do to help us out. His response was "you took that risk when you ordered glass, there's nothing I can do to help you and I told your buddy that too when he called, it says right on our website that we aren't responsible for damages in shipping" and that was the end of the conversation.

To be fair, he's absolutely correct, he wasn't responsible, however, when you're in the business of customer service in a small town, you ALWAYS do what you can to help your customer no matter what the outcome is as there are always other places to shop. I would have been completely satisfied with him calling me back and telling me that he at least called the wrecker and tried to help us out. I would have appreciated the attempt even if the answer was no.

I made the call myself to the wrecker that the glass was purchased from in Calgary and guess what they did? They apologized for the inconvenience and prepaid a new roof glass to me free of charge.

I'm super disappointed in the way I was treated by this employee however Barrhead will still be my first call. My recommendation for anyone who reads this is to ONLY deal with Steve or Rob.

I can't find words to express my opinion of this business! I called them looking for the full size spare that comes with the 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk! I told them that the tire is a Firestone Destination A/T & the size is: P245/65R17 105T. I explained that I wanted 2 that were in unused condition! They told me that they had two in stock, and I said perfect & that I was coming from Edmonton. So, I drove from Edmonton 1.5 hours one way, and when I got there they didn't have what I had asked for & explained to them in detail!!!!!!! I'm so impressed wasting 3 hours of my time to drive there & back & burning half a tank of gas as well!!!!!! Thank you so much Evelyn, and they didn't even as much as apologize to me! All I can say is that THEY ARE DEFINITELY #2 IN MY BOOK!!!!!!! Danno. 🙁

Spoke to an older guy earlier today at 4:50pm expressing interest in a wheel for a Ram 1500. It'd take about 25 minutes to drive there, I can give the part number over the phone so they can pull it. Walk in, make the purchase, and I can be out just before they close. No problem right?

From the descriptions below, I can only guess his name was Seal. I've never met a guy so upset about making a $300 sale, he complained the entire time. I gave them 30 minutes to pull a rim, which isn't hard for any proficient salvage yard but he made it seem like a big ask. It was Friday and he didn't want to do a sale at 5:20pm. That's fine... just change your hours to 5:15 then. He was short when I arrived, pointed at the rim, and walked away. I don't think he'll ever find it in his heart to forgive me of the heinous crime of providing his business with revenue.

Rim itself was OK condition but I'd say the price was $40-50 too high. Overall the staff at Barrhead Auto Parts & Salvage seemed pretty nice, though I suspect one of them is in need of having their diaper changed
