Delta Bakery - A Charming Local Find

This small bakery in Ladner is a hidden gem! Despite its modest size, they offer a delightful variety of baked goods. We were particularly impressed with their donuts - homemade and incredibly fresh. Three donuts for $8.00 seemed reasonable for the quality. The overall experience was very positive, and we'll definitely be returning to explore more of their treats.

Normally I don't love doughnuts but their apple fritters are so absolutely delicious and irresistible. I can't speak to any of their other products because I just keep getting their apple fritters!

Been coming to Delta Bakery for years. Have tried a few of their donuts, but the fritter slaps! Our last batch weren’t quite as crispy on the outside as usual, BUT they were still good!! Perfect thin shell of glaze on the outside, fluffy and chewy inside. Good balance of sweetness and apple cinnamon flavour. Good value too!

I’ve picked up the Apple fritters before and they were delicious, but today they were disgusting mounds of oil. Flat and FULL of grease. I had to spit it out. Not sure I’ll even try again. It was that bad!

New ownership is obvious. The bakery is not what it used to be. The last 3 times I’ve gone and had an Apple fritter, there are no apples in it or one tiny piece in the whole fritter. Today it was so greasy I couldn’t even eat it and again… no apples. Apples aren’t expensive guys… if you’re not going to buy apples, don’t make apple fritters.

The cupcakes and wedding cake were showstoppers! The vegan raspberry lemon wedding cake was delicious, and the cupcakes (chocolate, red velvet, lemon, and strawberry) were equally amazing. We received tons of compliments from our guests. The ordering process was easy, pick-up was efficient, and the owners were a delight to work with. We’re extremely happy with both the product and the service—definitely planning to use them again!

The service is great, they are very friendly. When we got home and opened up the zucchini chocolate loaf it was dry and stale, and we couldn't taste the zucchini. As much as we'd like to support our local communities its difficult to pay $10.99 for days old loaf. I won't comment on the stale banana bread and the date bars. We would love to come back, but would want to know how old the baked goods are before we purchase. I hope next time we'll have a better experience.
