My family and I went their solely to enjoy the pool and sauna. When we arrived we had to wait a half an hour before we could go swimming as the pool ratios were too high. The family pool area is warm and shallow with a lazy river. Below the surface of the lazy river the siding is rough and abbrasive. My 8 year old and I both got scratches and abbrassions from bumping into the siding. I'm not sure if the pool authorities will be resurfacing this or smoothing it over any time soon. The swim area is spacious and roomy. The hot tub is nice but I personally found it abit too hot for my liking. The family swim is from 1pm to 4pm. The regular swim is from 8am to 8pm. Overall, the staff and life guards are friendly and attentive to everyone. A pretty nice pool 👍

Love their fitness room and the pool. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially AJ, she is always so cheerful and patient. Thank you for explaining the UMO card to me, really appreciate it. In general, the recreation centre is well kept and maintained.

I played the par 3 golf course, it was beautiful! Very nice course, great staff, super friendly! Nice little practice green right off the starting tee.

The pool is older but well maintained. Prices are equivalent with other public pools. Didn't use the gym but it looked like a normal rec centre gym.

Lockers have a neat feature where it doesn't take your coin until after you've unlocked it. So if you have trouble locking it, you can get your coin back and try another one. No need to go back to the front desk!

Juan de Fuca rec has been a common spot for my classes field trips and they have always been awesome place. The pool is great and the gym has tons of stuff. Would recommend for other classes for a great experience. Staff are also kind, helpful and friendly. A few weeks ago they even opened the slide for us.

The Juan de Fuca Recreation Center is so much fun! The pool is awesome, and the waterslide makes it even better. I also loved the climbing wall – it’s really cool to try and climb. It’s a great place to hang out with friends and have a great time!

Visited the pool, only lane swimming and a children’s pool. Most of the extra activities were closed (slide, rock climbing wall, sprinkler etc” Not bad, but would be great if they opened those amenities. Change rooms were a bit dirty and small, some lockers didn’t work.

The pool is ok. Not a great place for kids imo. Not a lot of water toys. For the wee ones. Needs a face lift!
