Came here since this was the in-house cafe at the hotel. We were met by an "inn" training lady -- Kammryn. She was helpful, informative and a pleasure. She explained the items to us and we were able to decide.

We got the peaches and cream muffin, the chocolate almond croissant. Both were incredible! It helps that we went there in the morning when things just came out of the oven. We also got dark mocha and Vietnamese coffee. The mocha was good -- normal mocha. The Vietnamese coffee was good but not as good as one from a Vietnamese place.

Overall, the experience was great. I recommend this to anyone staying at the Inn.

Duo Café is a hidden gem with a stunning ocean view. Their hot chocolate is rich and velvety, and the coffee is always expertly brewed. The real treat? Their freshly house made pastries, are simply irresistible! Whether you’re sipping your drink while soaking in the peaceful waterfront scenery or grabbing a quick bite to go, the warm atmosphere and friendly service make every visit special.

Super nice little place tucked away in a hotel! I got a smoked butterscotch latte and a pain au chocolate.

The latte was lovely, flavoured very nicely and was super unique! Also had a little complimentary piece of shortbread which was very tasty. The pain au chocolate was super flakey and light, and perfectly chocolatey. I really enjoyed both the drink and food!

The service was wonderful. The lady serving me complimented my earrings which was very sweet and then remembered my name and grabbed my dishes for me when I was leaving! Super bright and cheerful, very much made my day. It was nice and cosy and had a lovely waterfront view if you sit in the right spot. Would absolutely recommend if you are in the area and have a chance to stop by.

This bakery was being featured extensively in online ads, my neighbourhood paper and YAM magazine. I had been wanting to try their “perfect” pastries for quite some time now.

Today, I ventured in and chose a tart. I was shocked to find out it cost more than the panini lunch I just had downtown.

I went on to purchase it however in hopes that it was worth the price. Sadly, it was extremely disappointing. I’ve made better tarts than this and I’m no baker. The filling was dry, it was overall pretty tasteless and the pastry was too buttery in a bad way (greasy).

I want to support local and would consider giving another item a try but with prices that are clearly not catered to locals, I won’t be back.

The large $6 croissant is a treat for the tastebuds and eyes. The impressive size is complimented by layer upon layer of pastry, which delightfully explodes with buttery flakes on the outside and a labyrinth of soft chewy goodness on the inside.

I said yes when the kind and friendly barista offered complimentary jam and butter. If I'm going to eat a croissant, I might as well be all in!

I washed this down with a hot comforting cup of caffeine-free deliciously spiced roiboos tea. My friend had a latte and noted the beans are from a local roaster. That's great they support local!

The dishware is beautiful. And there are clean, spacious, modern and accessible washrooms.

This sweet little cafe has a beautiful esthetic and is nestled inside the Laurel Point Hotel. So, you're not directly looking outside at the water even though the hotel has many waterfront views. There are a several seats looking out towards the hallway where the waterline can be found.

I noticed multiple people having soup and a bun. And I'll definitely be back to try one of the multiple muffin offerings. They had interesting flavors like peach cobbler and blueberry strusel.

The hotel is situated on the edge of the main tourist area downtown. It's very common for locals and tourists to go for walks in either direction from this hotel. If you walk away from downtown and stay close to the water, you'll find a very scenic walk. This cafe is worth the stop.

We had such a wonderful experience at Duo Cafe Bakery thanks to Piper! She was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely made our morning better with her amazing customer service. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel like valued guests. Our drinks were delicious (iced matcha + an americano), and the whole experience left such a positive impression. Piper truly went above and beyond - I hope she gets the recognition she deserves!

Carrot cake lattes (iced) were delicious, as well as the chocolate croissant. Very cute cafe and nice staff. I also appreciate the longer business hours for a nice evening sweetie treatie option.

Staff are very friendly and attentive, and it was great to see the managers genuinely caring for their team—it really adds to the warm and welcoming vibe. The ocean view from the café is absolutely stunning and makes the whole experience even more special. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing coffee or meal while taking in the beautiful waterfront scenery. The pastries and baked goods were fresh and delicious as well. Highly recommend if you’re in Victoria!
