La Cucina – A Neighborhood Treasure

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. La Cucina isn’t just a deli.. it’s a heartbeat in the middle of the neighborhood. A family-run gem that reminds you what food should taste like. Their sandwiches? Off. The. Damn. Chain. The kind of flavor that makes you close your eyes and forget what you were saying mid-bite. Every single time.

But it’s more than the food. It’s the warmth, the smiles, the genuine “how are you today?” that comes from people who actually care. You can taste the love in everything they make. You can feel the care behind the counter. These aren’t just business owners..they’re neighbors, friends, the kind of people you root for.

The world needs more places like La Cucina -and more people like the family who runs it.

I’d give them 10 stars if I could. They have a great selection of gluten-free items, and the deli sandwiches are hearty and delicious. This family-run business offers the most amazing customer service. I forgot to mention that I needed a gluten-free bun until they were already making my sandwich. I apologized and offered to pay for the mistake, but they were incredibly gracious—they didn’t charge me, and more importantly, they made me feel like it wasn’t a big deal. (I’m pretty sure it was, since they were quite busy at the time.)

Great little Italian market with all the staples plus more. Staff a very friendly and witty. Prices are reasonable (some things a little over and some items seem a little to reasonable). Basing my knowledge of prices from Victoria. Two big 👍

Been a few years since being in this shop, decor is updated, looks good. Staff are super friendly and helpful, might have been good that it wasn't busy (stat holiday). Sandwich was super and price was average. The ingredients including bun were good quality, I'll be back much sooner next time

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Great location easy access. They always have a great selection of fresh foods ready to eat. Its very clean inside. They have lots of unique foods that are not available at other stores. Stop by to check it out.

Had the Caprese grilled panini. It was so so good. My only critique is perhaps a bit more meat and veg filling for the $7-8.
Store is full of cool European goods they’ve brought in. Deli has a great selection of meat and cheeses as well as olives etc.
I will be back to try more!
