Somehow, this fast-growing chain had completely flown under my radar, until I realized there were two locations nearby, so naturally, Port Moody was the first stop. The space is nice and open, but the booths still feel cozy, which is a solid balance. Ordering by tablet is pretty straightforward, and for those who prefer the old-school way, they’ve got printed menus too. We went with a few introductory dishes, and the whole experience was enjoyable. The flavors were on point, portions were generous, and some of their takes were refreshingly unique—like the spice-crusted tuna tataki, where the light sear added just the right contrast to the creamy raw tuna underneath. If they can keep this level of quality while expanding so fast, I’m all for it.

Chicken udon soup was great.
The kids enjoyed the kids meal and the sushi rolls.

Overall, a great experience! Will be back 🙂

the atmosphere is sooo nice!! definitely the highlight of the visit. the lighting is wonderful and there are tv screens showcasing their food. for the price, the food was nothing special, just regular sushi, but the staff were nice and attentive. when we arrived they were on break and we didn't know as it was not written on their website. i believe their break was 3-4 pm, and you can come back at 3:50 to begin ordering.

Ordered take out here and was extremely disappointed because of one simple thing; lack of sauce! We ordered a sashimi don that only came with 1 packet of soy sauce. We ordered a tempura platter that only came with a small container of half filled tempura sauce. We ordered agedashi tofu and barely given sauce and now the tofu is drying up in the middle of our meal. These sauces cost mere pennies yet this restaurant has to be stingy about it. It ruined our meal and lead to this 1 star review instead of a service well done and a satisfied customer.
Let this review also serve as a reminder to anyone ordering here to make sure to ask for extra sauces because we sure as heck didn't know they were gonna be stingy about it.

First time here and we're definitely coming back. Big portions of food at reasonable prices. Great atmosphere and great customer service.

Service was exceptional though but food sucks. Very friendly staff and the chef saw me pushing stroller out, he even hold the doors for me. Atmosphere was also good.

Came with high expectations since Sushi Mura is kinda like a new sushi trend. But the truth is, it only looks good on social media but taste sucks.
Ordered the 9 compartment lunch bento.
Most of the items are lacking flavour. Chawanmushi with weird texture and without the dashi aroma.
Grilled scallop was fully cooked so the texture, taste, and umami of it was completely gone.
Inari was too much seasoned with furikake and it was SO SALTY and almost not edible.
They do offer free kid’s meal. Since my kid is still too young so I ate it for him. Sweet potato tempura was very undercooked and or I should say it’s still raw.

Amazing Sushi & Friendly Staff!

I had a great experience at Sushi Mura! I tried the Mura Special Roll, and it was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole dining experience even better. To top it off, they even gave me a candy after my meal, which was a nice little touch. I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this spot for sushi lovers.

The staff here are so wonderful! Sushi was very fresh and delicious - i ordered the salmon avocado roll and the deep fried oysters.Oysters were good, but a bit bread-y. The service was great, attentive, friendly and welcoming.
