My daughter and I were both beyond impressed by such a beautiful, modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed facility! The architecture and layout are visually stunning and also clearly created with families and community in mind.

The aquatic area was spacious, bright, clean and safe. It was the largest indoor pool facility we have ever seen. The lifeguards were checking the stalls as they passed by. The floors were being cleaned frequently. The staff members were putting in a lot of effort to maintain the level of care.
We definitely appreciated the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Every single person we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It made us feel comfortable and valued as guests.

Thank you to everyone at təməsew̓txʷ for creating such a special place in the heart of the community. We'll definitely be back—and next time, we will bring even more family and friends along to share the experience.

I can't get over how stunning the new facility at the Təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre is! For $48 a month, I enjoy this brand-new two-story gym with every machine you could imagine, including thick ropes to throw around, an elliptical machine, a stepping machine, different weights, and spiky foam rollers to help relax my muscles. This beautiful facility also has an elaborate swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. The best part are the various classes. I also saw people playing basketball, Tae Kwon Do, and many other sports at this new hub. With this monthly pass, I also get to use all the community center facilities in New Westminster, for which I am incredibly grateful. I’ve been hitting Queensborough and Centennial Community Centers. At my age, nothing is more valuable than a healthy body and a strong core. I am committed to becoming physically stronger and staying active.

An amazing new facility in New Westminster! təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre has everything you need—great pools for all ages, a relaxing hot tub and sauna, and a modern gym with lots of space and equipment. It’s super clean and well-organized, and you can tell the design was made with the community in mind.

The leisure pool with lazy river and spray features is perfect for kids, while the lap pool is ideal for more serious swimmers. The building itself is bright, welcoming, and fully accessible. It really feels like a gathering place for everyone, not just a rec centre.

Only downside is that the change rooms feel a bit tight during busy times, but that’s minor compared to how great the rest of the place is. Definitely a huge upgrade for the city—I’ll be coming back often!

I come here primarily for the sauna and gym. The facility is nice and clean and they have pretty much everything you’d want in a gym (even a small artificial turf strip with a sled). The sauna and steam room are quite big. My go to community center.

From what I understand, this is a new building?

I was on vacation and came here. It was pretty amazing. The experience here was great.
Comparing to my limited BC community centers experiences, this offered a lot more.

Since my kids and their cousins wanted to swim, this was the place my brother in law took me.

Every locker had a key and you didn't have to pay for the locker!
There seemed to be a good amount of those lockers too!
Good amount of showers/dressing rooms as well.

Giant kid pool, kids and adult hot tubs area. Also steam and sauna rooms.
The bigger pool with diving platforms was also pretty nice.

Maybe because it was new, the water wasn't super chlorinated, so my eyes weren't as bad as the other places I usually go to.

I’ve had a great experience. The swimming pool is always very clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant and hygienic environment. The locker rooms and changing areas are organized and kept tidy, making it easy and convenient for everyone. The hot tub and sauna are fantastic—perfect for relaxing after a swim. I’m also really impressed with the children’s swimming area, which is well-equipped with excellent facilities that make it fun and safe for kids. Highly recommend this place for families and anyone looking for a top-quality aquatic centre!

Because the locker rooms are unisex, the changing rooms are always crowded. If men and women were separated, they would be able to change clothes much faster, but I don't understand why they made it this way. The facilities are good.

Like many New West locals, I was eagerly awaiting the opening of this new center, especially excited about having a new sauna in the neighborhood.

I recently started using the facility, and unfortunately, my experience has not met my expectations. There are some teething problems, design flaws, and cleanliness issues that need attention.

The main reason for my low rating is that there is no cold water shower available anywhere in the facility—I even asked! How does it make sense to offer a sauna, steam room, or hot tub without the option to cool off afterward? A cold shower or plunge is a basic feature, arguably essential for any facility with saunas, yet it’s missing here.

Additionally, there’s no spinner to dry swimsuits, which is a standard amenity in most pools. The changing rooms and showers have consistently had long hair on the floor, whether I visited early in the morning or late at night. The shower walls are filthy, covered in grey muck, making the changing room area feel anything but new.

I’m not writing this review to undermine the effort that went into building this great facility. However, it’s the details that shape the overall experience, and I hope someone takes responsibility for addressing these issues. Thank you!

They’ve adjusted the water temperature in one of the showers near the steam room and hot tub—it now offers cold water! I really appreciate the staff’s efforts to make this happen. I’ve updated my star rating from 2 to 3, but the changing rooms remain quite dirty and still have hair on the floors, even during my 5:30 a.m. visits. Progress has been made, so thank you!
